Salmos 40:2-4

2 Me sacó del hoyo de la destrucción(A), del lodo cenagoso;
asentó mis pies sobre una roca[a](B) y afirmó mis pasos(C).
3 Puso en mi boca un cántico nuevo(D), un canto de alabanza a nuestro Dios;
muchos verán esto, y temerán(E),
y confiarán en el Señor.

4 Cuán bienaventurado es el hombre que ha puesto en el Señor su confianza[b](F),
y no se ha vuelto a los soberbios(G) ni a los que caen en falsedad(H).

2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,(A)
    out of the mud(B) and mire;(C)
he set my feet(D) on a rock(E)
    and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 He put a new song(F) in my mouth,
    a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord(G)
    and put their trust(H) in him.

4 Blessed is the one(I)
    who trusts in the Lord,(J)
who does not look to the proud,(K)
    to those who turn aside to false gods.[a](L)
