Salmos 4
Nova Traduҫão na Linguagem de Hoje 2000
Deus, meu defensor
Salmo de Davi. Ao regente do coro — para instrumentos de cordas.
4 Ó Deus, defensor dos meus direitos,
responde-me quando eu te chamar!
Eu estava em dificuldade,
mas tu me ajudaste.
Tem misericórdia de mim
e ouve a minha oração!
2 Homens poderosos, até quando
vocês vão me insultar?
Até quando amarão o que não tem valor
e andarão atrás de falsidades?
3 Lembrem que o Senhor Deus
trata com cuidado especial
aqueles que são fiéis a ele;
o Senhor me ouve quando eu o chamo.
4 Tremam de medo e parem de pecar.
Sozinhos e quietos nos seus quartos,
examinem a sua própria consciência.
5 Ofereçam sacrifícios
como o Senhor exige
e ponham a sua confiança nele.
6 Há muitas pessoas que oram assim:
“Dá-nos mais bênçãos, ó Senhor Deus,
e olha para nós com bondade!”
7 Mas a felicidade que pões
no meu coração é muito maior
do que a daqueles que têm comida
com fartura.
8 Quando me deito, durmo em paz,
pois só tu, ó Senhor,
me fazes viver em segurança.
Psalm 4
New King James Version
The Safety of the Faithful
To the [a]Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.
4 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have relieved me in my distress;
[b]Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
2 How long, O you sons of men,
Will you turn my glory to shame?
How long will you love worthlessness
And seek falsehood? Selah
3 But know that (A)the Lord has [c]set apart for Himself him who is godly;
The Lord will hear when I call to Him.
4 (B)Be[d] angry, and do not sin.
(C)Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
5 Offer (D)the sacrifices of righteousness,
And (E)put your trust in the Lord.
6 There are many who say,
“Who will show us any good?”
(F)Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.
7 You have put (G)gladness in my heart,
More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.
8 (H)I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
(I)For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
