Dios Habla Hoy

Alabanzas a la bondad del Señor

⁽¹⁾De David, cuando se retiró de la presencia de Abimélec, ante quien había fingido sufrir un ataque de locura.

34 ⁽²⁾Bendeciré al Señor a todas horas;
mis labios siempre lo alabarán.
²⁽³⁾Yo me siento orgulloso del Señor;
¡óiganlo y alégrense, hombres humildes!
³⁽⁴⁾Alabemos juntos y a una voz
la grandeza del nombre del Señor.

⁴⁽⁵⁾Recurrí al Señor, y él me contestó,
y me libró de todos mis temores.
⁵⁽⁶⁾Los que miran al Señor
quedan radiantes de alegría
y jamás se verán defraudados.
⁶⁽⁷⁾Este pobre gritó, y el Señor lo oyó
y lo libró de todas sus angustias.
⁷⁽⁸⁾El ángel del Señor protege y salva
a los que honran al Señor.
⁸⁽⁹⁾Prueben, y vean que el Señor es bueno.
¡Feliz el hombre que en él confía!
⁹⁽¹⁰⁾Honren al Señor, los consagrados a él,
pues nada faltará a los que lo honran.
¹⁰⁽¹¹⁾Los ricos se vuelven pobres, y sufren hambre,
pero a los que buscan al Señor nunca les faltará ningún bien.

¹¹⁽¹²⁾Vengan, hijos míos, y escúchenme:
voy a enseñarles a honrar al Señor.
¹²⁽¹³⁾¿Quieres vivir mucho tiempo?
¿Quieres gozar de la vida?
¹³⁽¹⁴⁾Pues refrena tu lengua de hablar mal,
y nunca digan mentiras tus labios.
¹⁴⁽¹⁵⁾Aléjate de la maldad, y haz lo bueno;
busca la paz, y síguela.

¹⁵⁽¹⁶⁾El Señor cuida de los hombres honrados
y presta oído a sus clamores.
¹⁶⁽¹⁷⁾El Señor está en contra de los malhechores,
para borrar de la tierra su recuerdo.
¹⁷⁽¹⁸⁾El Señor atiende al clamor del hombre honrado,
y lo libra de todas sus angustias.
¹⁸⁽¹⁹⁾El Señor está cerca, para salvar a los que tienen el corazón hecho pedazos
y han perdido la esperanza.

¹⁹⁽²⁰⁾El hombre honrado pasa por muchos males,
pero el Señor lo libra de todos ellos.
²⁰⁽²¹⁾Él le protege todos los huesos;
ni uno solo le romperán.
²¹⁽²²⁾A los malvados los mata su propia maldad;
los que odian al hombre honrado serán castigados.
²²⁽²³⁾Pero el Señor salva la vida a sus siervos;
¡no serán castigados los que en él confían!

Praise God Who Judges and Saves

David’s song from the time he acted crazy so Abimelech would send him away. And David did leave.

34 I will praise the Lord at all times.
    His praise is always on my lips.
²My whole being praises the Lord.
    The poor will hear and be glad.
³Tell the greatness of the Lord with me.
    Let us praise his name together.

⁴I asked the Lord for help, and he answered me.
    He saved me from all that I feared.
⁵Those who go to him for help are happy.
    They are never disgraced.
⁶This poor man called, and the Lord heard him.
    The Lord saved him from all his troubles.
⁷The Lord saves those who fear him.
    His angel camps around them.

⁸Examine and see how good the Lord is.
    Happy is the person who trusts the Lord.
⁹People who belong to the Lord, fear him!
    Those who fear him will have everything they need.
¹⁰Even lions may become weak and hungry.
    But those people who go to the Lord for help will have every good thing.
¹¹Children, come and listen to me.
    I will teach you to worship the Lord.
¹²You must do these things
    to enjoy life and have many happy days.
¹³You must not say evil things.
    You must not tell lies.
¹⁴Stop doing evil and do good.
    Look for peace and work for it.

¹⁵The Lord sees the good people.
    He listens to their prayers.
¹⁶But the Lord is against those who do evil.
    He makes the world forget them.
¹⁷The Lord hears good people when they cry out to him.
    He saves them from all their troubles.
¹⁸The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.
    He saves those whose spirits have been crushed.

¹⁹People who do what is right may have many problems.
    But the Lord will solve them all.
²⁰He will protect their very bones.
    Not one of them will be broken.
²¹Evil will kill the wicked people.
    Those who hate good people will be judged guilty.
²²But the Lord saves his servants’ lives.
    No one who trusts him will be judged guilty.
