Acción de gracias por haber sido librado de la muerte

Salmo cantado en la dedicación de la Casa.

Salmo de David.

30 Te glorificaré, oh Jehová, porque me has exaltado,
Y no permitiste que mis enemigos se alegraran de mí.
2 Jehová Dios mío,
A ti clamé, y me sanaste.
3 Oh Jehová, hiciste subir mi alma del Seol;
Me diste vida, para que no descendiese a la sepultura.

4 Cantad a Jehová, vosotros sus santos,
Y celebrad la memoria de su santidad.
5 Porque un momento será su ira,
Pero su favor dura toda la vida.
Por la noche durará el lloro,
Y a la mañana vendrá la alegría.

6 En mi prosperidad dije yo:
No seré jamás conmovido,
7 Porque tú, Jehová, con tu favor me afirmaste como monte fuerte.
Escondiste tu rostro, fui turbado.

8 A ti, oh Jehová, clamaré,
Y al Señor suplicaré.
9 ¿Qué provecho hay en mi muerte cuando descienda a la sepultura?
¿Te alabará el polvo? ¿Anunciará tu verdad?
10 Oye, oh Jehová, y ten misericordia de mí;
Jehová, sé tú mi ayudador.

11 Has cambiado mi lamento en baile;
Desataste mi cilicio, y me ceñiste de alegría.
12 Por tanto, a ti cantaré, gloria mía, y no estaré callado.
Jehová Dios mío, te alabaré para siempre.

Alabanzas de gratitud al Señor

⁽¹⁾Salmo. Canto para la dedicación del templo. De David.

30 ⁽²⁾Señor, yo te alabo
porque tú me libertaste,
porque no has permitido
que mis enemigos se burlen de mí.
²⁽³⁾Señor, mi Dios,
te pedí ayuda, y me sanaste;
³⁽⁴⁾tú, Señor, me salvaste de la muerte;
me diste vida, me libraste de morir.

⁴⁽⁵⁾Ustedes, fieles del Señor, ¡cántenle himnos!,
¡alaben su santo nombre!
⁵⁽⁶⁾Porque su enojo dura un momento,
pero su buena voluntad, toda la vida.
Si lloramos por la noche,
por la mañana tendremos alegría.

⁶⁽⁷⁾Yo me sentí seguro, y pensé:
«Nada me hará caer jamás.»
⁷⁽⁸⁾Pero tú, Señor, en tu bondad
me habías afirmado en lugar seguro,
y apenas me negaste tu ayuda
el miedo me dejó confundido.

⁸⁽⁹⁾A ti, Señor, clamo;
a ti, Señor, suplico:
⁹⁽¹⁰⁾¿Qué se gana con que yo muera,
con que sea llevado al sepulcro?
¡El polvo no puede alabarte
ni hablar de tu fidelidad!
¹⁰⁽¹¹⁾Señor, óyeme y ten compasión de mí;
Señor, ¡ayúdame!

¹¹⁽¹²⁾Has cambiado en danzas mis lamentos;
me has quitado el luto
y me has vestido de fiesta.
¹²⁽¹³⁾Por eso, Señor y Dios,
no puedo quedarme en silencio:
¡te cantaré himnos de alabanza
y siempre te daré gracias!

Thanksgiving for Answered Prayer

A psalm; a song for the dedication of the house.^[a] Of David.^[b]

30 I will exalt you, O Yahweh,
because you have drawn me up,
and have not made my enemies rejoice over me.
²O Yahweh, my God,
I cried for help to you,
and you healed me.
³O Yahweh, you have brought my life up from Sheol.
You preserved me alive
from among those going down ^[c] to the pit.
⁴Sing praises to Yahweh, you his faithful ones,
and give thanks to his holy fame.^[d]
⁵For there is a moment in his anger;
there is a lifetime in his favor.
Weeping lodges for the evening,
but in the morning comes rejoicing.
⁶But as for me, I had said in my prosperity,
“I shall not be moved ever.”
⁷O Yahweh, by your favor
you caused my strong mountain to stand.
You hid your face. I was bewildered.
⁸To you, O Yahweh, I called,
and to the Lord I pleaded for grace saying,
⁹“What gain is there in my death,^[e]
in my going down into the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it tell of your faithfulness?
¹⁰“O Yahweh, hear and be gracious to me.
O Yahweh, be my helper.”
¹¹You have turned my wailing into my dancing.
You have removed my sackcloth
and clothed me with joy
¹²so that I^[f] may sing praises to you
and not be quiet.
O Yahweh, my God,
I will give thanks to you forever.
