Salmo de David, cuando huía de su hijo Absalón.
3 Muchos son, Señor, mis enemigos;
muchos son los que se me oponen,
2 y muchos los que de mí aseguran:
«Dios no lo salvará». Selah
3 Pero tú, Señor, eres el escudo que me protege;
tú eres mi gloria;
tú mantienes en alto mi cabeza.
4 Clamo al Señor a voz en cuello
y desde su monte santo él me responde. Selah
5 Yo me acuesto, me duermo y vuelvo a despertar,
porque el Señor me sostiene.
6 No me asustan los miles de escuadrones
que me acosan por doquier.
7 ¡Levántate, Señor!
¡Ponme a salvo, Dios mío!
¡Rómpeles la quijada a mis enemigos!
¡Rómpeles los dientes a los malvados!
8 Tuya es, Señor, la salvación;

1 En psalm av David när han flydde för sin son Absalom.
2 Herre, hur många är inte mina fiender!
Många reser sig mot mig.
3 Många säger om mig:
"Det finns ingen frälsning för honom hos Gud." Sela.[a]
4 Men du, Herre, är en sköld runt omkring mig.
Du är min ära,
du lyfter upp mitt huvud.
5 Jag ropar högt till Herren,
och han svarar mig från sitt heliga berg. Sela.
6 Jag lade mig och somnade,
jag vaknade igen, ty Herren håller mig uppe.
7 Jag fruktar ej för skaror av många tusen,
som ansätter mig från alla sidor.
8 Stå upp, Herre, fräls mig, min Gud!
Du slår alla mina fiender på kinden,
du krossar de ogudaktigas tänder.
9 Hos Herren finns frälsningen.
Låt din välsignelse komma över ditt folk! Sela.

1 Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.(B)”[b]
3 But you, Lord, are a shield(C) around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.(D)
4 I call out to the Lord,(E)
and he answers me from his holy mountain.(F)
5 I lie down and sleep;(G)
I wake again,(H) because the Lord sustains me.
6 I will not fear(I) though tens of thousands
assail me on every side.(J)

3 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
