Exhortación a Israel, para que alabe a Jehová

Aleluya.

149 Cantad a Jehová cántico nuevo;

Su alabanza sea en la congregación de los santos.

Alégrese Israel en su Hacedor;

Los hijos de Sion se gocen en su Rey.

Alaben su nombre con danza;

Con pandero y arpa a él canten.

Porque Jehová tiene contentamiento en su pueblo;

Hermoseará a los humildes con la salvación.

Regocíjense los santos por su gloria,

Y canten aun sobre sus camas.

Exalten a Dios con sus gargantas,

Y espadas de dos filos en sus manos,

Para ejecutar venganza entre las naciones,

Y castigo entre los pueblos;

Para aprisionar a sus reyes con grillos,

Y a sus nobles con cadenas de hierro;

Para ejecutar en ellos el juicio decretado;

Gloria será esto para todos sus santos.

Praise for God’s Triumph

Hallelujah!
Sing to the Lord a new song,(A)
His praise in the assembly of the godly.(B)
Let Israel celebrate its Maker;
let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.(C)
Let them praise His name with dancing
and make music to Him with tambourine and lyre.(D)
For Yahweh takes pleasure in His people;(E)
He adorns the humble with salvation.(F)
Let the godly celebrate in triumphal glory;
let them shout for joy on their beds.(G)

Let the exaltation of God be in their mouths[a]
and a double-edged sword in their hands,(H)
inflicting vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,(I)
binding their kings with chains
and their dignitaries with iron shackles,(J)
carrying out the judgment decreed against them.
This honor is for all His godly people.(K)

For the Lord takes delight(I) in his people;
