Nueva Biblia Viva

147 ¡Aleluya! ¡Alabado sea el Señor! ¡Qué bueno es cantar sus alabanzas! ¡Qué agradable y justo es alabarle!

2 El Señor está reconstruyendo Jerusalén y regresando a sus exiliados. 3 Él sana a los quebrantados de corazón y les venda las heridas. 4 Él cuenta las estrellas y las llama por su nombre. 5 ¡Cuán grande es él! ¡Su poder es absoluto! Su entendimiento no tiene fronteras. 6 El Señor sostiene al humilde, pero derriba hasta el polvo al malvado. 7 Canten al Señor con gratitud; canten alabanzas a nuestro Dios, con acompañamiento de arpa. 8 Él cubre los cielos de nubes, envía la lluvia sobre la tierra y hace que la hierba verde crezca en los pastizales del monte. 9 Él alimenta a las bestias salvajes y los polluelos del cuervo lo llaman a él pidiéndole comida. 10 A él la fuerza del caballo no le causa admiración. 11 Pero su gozo está en quienes lo honran; en aquellos que confían en su gran amor.

12 ¡Alaba al Señor, Jerusalén! ¡Alaba a tu Dios, Sion! 13 Porque él ha reforzado los cerrojos de tus puertas, y ha bendecido a tus hijos que en ti habitan. 14 Él envía paz por toda tu nación, y te sacia con el mejor trigo. 15 Él da sus órdenes al mundo; su palabra corre a toda prisa. 16 Él envía la nieve como lana, y esparce la escarcha en la tierra como ceniza. 17 Deja caer el granizo como piedras: ¿quién podrá resistir su frío que congela? 18 Entonces, envía su palabra y todo se derrite; envía sus vientos y el hielo se funde. 19 A Jacob le ha revelado sus palabras; sus leyes y decretos a Israel. 20 Esto no lo ha hecho con ninguna otra nación; estas no han conocido sus leyes.

147 ¡Aleluya!

¡Qué bueno es cantar himnos a nuestro Dios!
¡A él se le deben dulces alabanzas!
2 El Señor reconstruye a Jerusalén
y reúne a los dispersos de Israel.
3 Él sana a los que tienen roto el corazón,
y les venda las heridas.
4 Él determina el número de las estrellas,
y a cada una le pone nombre.
5 Grande es nuestro Dios, y grande su poder;
su inteligencia es infinita.
6 El Señor levanta a los humildes,
pero humilla por completo a los malvados.

7 Canten al Señor con gratitud;
canten himnos a nuestro Dios, al son del arpa.
8 Él cubre de nubes el cielo,
prepara la lluvia para la tierra,
hace crecer los pastos en los montes,
9 da de comer a los animales
y a las crías de los cuervos cuando chillan.
10 No es la fuerza del caballo ni los músculos del hombre
lo que más agrada al Señor;
11 a él le agradan los que lo honran,
los que confían en su amor.

12 Jerusalén, alaba al Señor;
Sión, alaba a tu Dios.
13 Pues él reforzó los cerrojos de tus puertas
y bendijo a tus hijos dentro de la ciudad.
14 Él trae la paz a tu territorio
y te satisface con lo mejor del trigo.
15 Él envía su palabra a la tierra,
y su palabra corre a toda prisa.
16 Él produce la nieve como si fuera lana,
y esparce la escarcha como si fuera polvo.
17 Él envía el hielo en forma de granizo;
con el frío que envía, el agua se congela.
18 Pero envía su palabra, y la derrite;
hace soplar el viento, y el agua corre.
19 Él dio a conocer a Jacob, a Israel,
su palabra, sus leyes y decretos.
20 No hizo lo mismo con las otras naciones,
las cuales nunca conocieron sus decretos.

Psalm 147[a]

147 Praise the Lord,
for it is good to sing praises to our God.
Yes,[b] praise is pleasant and appropriate.
2 The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem,
and gathers the exiles of Israel.
3 He heals[c] the brokenhearted,
and bandages their wounds.
4 He counts the number of the stars;
he names all of them.
5 Our Lord is great and has awesome power;[d]
there is no limit to his wisdom.[e]
6 The Lord lifts up the oppressed,
but knocks[f] the wicked to the ground.
7 Offer to the Lord a song of thanks.[g]
Sing praises to our God to the accompaniment of a harp.
8 He covers[h] the sky with clouds,
provides the earth with rain,
and causes grass to grow on the hillsides.[i]
9 He gives food to the animals,
and to the young ravens when they chirp.[j]
10 He is not enamored with the strength of a horse,
nor is he impressed by the warrior’s strong legs.[k]
11 The Lord takes delight in his faithful followers,[l]
and in those who wait for his loyal love.
12 Extol the Lord, O Jerusalem.
Praise your God, O Zion.
13 For he makes the bars of your gates strong.
He blesses your children[m] within you.
14 He[n] brings peace to your territory.[o]
He abundantly provides for you[p] the best grain.
15 He[q] sends his command through the earth;[r]
swiftly his order reaches its destination.[s]
16 He sends the snow that is white like wool;
he spreads the frost that is white like ashes.[t]
17 He throws his hailstones[u] like crumbs.
Who can withstand the cold wind he sends?[v]
18 He then orders it all to melt;[w]
he breathes on it,[x] and the water flows.
19 He proclaims his word to Jacob,
his statutes and regulations to Israel.
20 He has not done so with any other nation;
they are not aware of his regulations.

Psalm 147

1 Praise the Lord.[a]

How good it is to sing praises to our God,
    how pleasant(A) and fitting to praise him!(B)

2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem;(C)
    he gathers the exiles(D) of Israel.
3 He heals the brokenhearted(E)
    and binds up their wounds.(F)
4 He determines the number of the stars(G)
    and calls them each by name.
5 Great is our Lord(H) and mighty in power;(I)
    his understanding has no limit.(J)
6 The Lord sustains the humble(K)
    but casts the wicked(L) to the ground.

7 Sing to the Lord(M) with grateful praise;(N)
    make music(O) to our God on the harp.(P)

8 He covers the sky with clouds;(Q)
    he supplies the earth with rain(R)
    and makes grass grow(S) on the hills.
9 He provides food(T) for the cattle
    and for the young ravens(U) when they call.

10 His pleasure is not in the strength(V) of the horse,(W)
    nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;

    Who can withstand his icy blast?

    his laws and decrees(AQ) to Israel.
20 He has done this for no other nation;(AR)
