Salmos 132
Traducción en lenguaje actual
Las promesas de Dios a David
SALMO 132 (131)
Cántico para las peregrinaciones.
132 1-2 Dios poderoso de Israel
acuérdate de David y de sus sufrimientos;
recuerda lo que él te prometió:
3-5 «Dios poderoso de Israel,
No pondré un pie en mi casa,
ni me daré un momento de descanso;
no dormiré un solo instante,
y ni siquiera cerraré los ojos,
mientras no encuentre un lugar
donde construir tu templo».
6 Cuando estábamos en Efrata
oímos hablar del cofre del pacto,
y finalmente lo hallamos
en la ciudad de Quiriat-jearim.
7 Entonces dijimos:
«¡Vayamos al templo de Dios!
¡Arrodillémonos ante su presencia!»
8 Dios mío,
¡ven con el cofre de tu pacto,
que es símbolo de tu poder,
al templo donde vivirás para siempre!
9 Tus sacerdotes se vestirán
con propiedad,
y tu pueblo cantará con alegría.
10-11 Dios mío,
tú elegiste a David
para que fuera nuestro rey;
¡no le niegues tu apoyo!
También le hiciste este juramento,
y no dejarás de cumplirlo:
«Tus descendientes serán reyes;
¡yo los haré reinar!
12 Si ellos cumplen
con mi pacto y con mis leyes,
también serán reyes sus hijos
y reinarán en tu lugar para siempre».
13 Tú elegiste a Jerusalén
para vivir siempre allí.
Dijiste:
14 «Aquí pondré mi templo.
Aquí reinaré siempre,
porque así lo he decidido.
15 Bendeciré ricamente
los alimentos de esta ciudad,
y con abundante pan
calmaré el hambre de sus pobres.
16 Vestiré a sus sacerdotes
con ropas de triunfo,
y el pueblo cantará con alegría.
17 Aquí haré que renazca
el poder de David,
el rey que yo elegí;
aquí reinarán para siempre
sus descendientes.
18 Sobre la cabeza de David
brillará siempre la corona;
sobre la cabeza de sus enemigos
brillará la vergüenza».
Psalm 132
New International Version
Psalm 132(A)
A song of ascents.
1 Lord, remember David
and all his self-denial.(B)
2 He swore an oath to the Lord,
he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:(C)
3 “I will not enter my house(D)
or go to my bed,
4 I will allow no sleep to my eyes
or slumber to my eyelids,
5 till I find a place(E) for the Lord,
a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 We heard it in Ephrathah,(F)
we came upon it in the fields of Jaar:[a](G)
7 “Let us go to his dwelling place,(H)
let us worship at his footstool,(I) saying,
8 ‘Arise, Lord,(J) and come to your resting place,
you and the ark of your might.
9 May your priests be clothed with your righteousness;(K)
may your faithful people(L) sing for joy.’”
10 For the sake of your servant David,
do not reject your anointed one.
11 The Lord swore an oath to David,(M)
a sure oath he will not revoke:
“One of your own descendants(N)
I will place on your throne.
12 If your sons keep my covenant(O)
and the statutes I teach them,
then their sons will sit
on your throne(P) for ever and ever.”
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion,(Q)
he has desired it for his dwelling,(R) saying,
14 “This is my resting place for ever and ever;(S)
here I will sit enthroned,(T) for I have desired it.
15 I will bless her with abundant provisions;
her poor I will satisfy with food.(U)
16 I will clothe her priests(V) with salvation,
and her faithful people will ever sing for joy.(W)

Psalm 132
New King James Version
The Eternal Dwelling of God in Zion
A Song of Ascents.
132 Lord, remember David
And all his afflictions;
2 How he swore to the Lord,
(A)And vowed to (B)the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 “Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house,
Or go up to the comfort of my bed;
4 I will (C)not give sleep to my eyes
Or slumber to my eyelids,
5 Until I (D)find a place for the Lord,
A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 Behold, we heard of it (E)in Ephrathah;
(F)We found it (G)in the fields of [a]the woods.
7 Let us go into His tabernacle;
(H)Let us worship at His footstool.
8 (I)Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place,
You and (J)the ark of Your strength.
9 Let Your priests (K)be clothed with righteousness,
And let Your saints shout for joy.
10 For Your servant David’s sake,
Do not turn away the face of Your [b]Anointed.
11 (L)The Lord has sworn in truth to David;
He will not turn from it:
“I will set upon your throne (M)the [c]fruit of your body.
12 If your sons will keep My covenant
And My testimony which I shall teach them,
Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore.”
13 (N)For the Lord has chosen Zion;
He has desired it for His [d]dwelling place:
14 “This(O) is My resting place forever;
Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
15 (P)I will abundantly bless her [e]provision;
I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 (Q)I will also clothe her priests with salvation,
(R)And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
17 (S)There I will make the [f]horn of David grow;
(T)I will prepare a lamp for My [g]Anointed.
18 His enemies I will (U)clothe with shame,
But upon Himself His crown shall flourish.”
