Dios protege a su pueblo
Cántico gradual.
125 Los que confían en Jehová son como el monte de Sion,
Que no se mueve, sino que permanece para siempre.
2 Como Jerusalén tiene montes alrededor de ella,
Así Jehová está alrededor de su pueblo
Desde ahora y para siempre.
3 Porque no reposará la vara de la impiedad sobre la heredad de los justos;
No sea que extiendan los justos sus manos a la iniquidad.
4 Haz bien, oh Jehová, a los buenos,
Y a los que son rectos en su corazón.
5 Mas a los que se apartan tras sus perversidades,
Jehová los llevará con los que hacen iniquidad;
Paz sea sobre Israel.

(1a) Cántico de las subidas.
125 (1b) Los que confían en el Señor son inconmovibles;
igual que el monte Sión, permanecen para siempre.
2 Así como los montes rodean a Jerusalén,
el Señor rodea a su pueblo ahora y siempre.
3 El mal gobierno no siempre dominará
en la tierra que Dios ha dado a su pueblo,
no sea que su pueblo comience
a practicar la maldad.
4 Señor, haz bien a los hombres buenos,
a los hombres de corazón sincero;
5 pero a los que van por mal camino
hazlos correr la suerte de los malhechores.

125 Los que confían en Dios
son como el monte Sión,
que nadie puede moverlo.
¡Permanecerán para siempre!
2 Las montañas protegen a Jerusalén,
y Dios protege a Israel
ahora y siempre.
3 No siempre los malvados
reinarán sobre el pueblo de Dios,
para que la gente buena
no practique la maldad.
4-5 Dios mío,
trata bien a la gente de buen corazón
pero deja que sean destruidos,
junto con los malhechores,
los que prefieren hacer lo malo.

A song of ascents.
125 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion.
It cannot be shaken; it remains for ever.(A)
2 The mountains surround Jerusalem
and the Lord surrounds his people,
both now and for ever.(B)
3 The sceptre of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
so that the righteous will not apply their hands to injustice.(C)
4 Do what is good, Lord, to the good,
to those whose hearts are upright.(D)
5 But as for those who turn aside to crooked ways,
the Lord will banish them with the evildoers.(E)
