Oración por la paz de Jerusalén
Cántico de ascenso gradual[a]; de David.
122 Yo me alegré cuando me dijeron:
Vamos a la casa del Señor(A).
2 Plantados están nuestros pies
dentro de tus puertas(B), oh Jerusalén.
3 Jerusalén, que está edificada(C)
como ciudad compacta, bien unida(D),
4 a la cual suben las tribus(E), las tribus del Señor[b],
(lo cual es ordenanza[c] para Israel)
para alabar[d] el nombre del Señor.
5 Porque allí se establecieron tronos para juicio(F),
los tronos de la casa de David.
6 Orad por la paz de Jerusalén(G):
Sean prosperados los que te aman(H).
7 Haya paz dentro de tus muros(I),
y prosperidad en tus palacios(J).
8 Por amor de mis hermanos y de mis amigos(K)
diré ahora: Sea la paz en ti(L).
9 Por amor de la casa del Señor nuestro Dios
procuraré tu bien(M).

(1a) Cántico de las subidas, de David.
122 (1b) ¡Qué alegría cuando me dicen:
«Vamos al templo del Señor»!
2 Jerusalén,
¡ya estamos dentro de tus puertas!
3 Jerusalén, ciudad construida
para que en ella se reúna la comunidad.
4 A ella vienen las tribus del Señor
para alabar su nombre,
como se le ordenó a Israel.
5 En ella están los tribunales de justicia,
los tribunales de la casa real de David.
6 Digan ustedes de corazón:
«Que haya paz en ti, Jerusalén;
que vivan tranquilos los que te aman.
7 Que haya paz en tus murallas;
que haya seguridad en tus palacios.»
8 Y ahora, por mis hermanos y amigos diré:
«Que haya paz en ti.
9 Por el templo del Señor nuestro Dios,
procuraré tu bien.»

122 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

A song of ascents. Of David.
1 I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
2 Our feet are standing
in your gates, Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is built like a city
that is closely compacted together.
4 That is where the tribes go up—
the tribes of the Lord—
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.
5 There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love(A) you be secure.
7 May there be peace(B) within your walls
and security within your citadels.(C)”
8 For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity.(D)
