El Señor exalta al humilde

113 ¡Aleluya[a]!
Alabad(A), siervos del Señor(B),
alabad el nombre del Señor.
Bendito sea el nombre del Señor(C)
desde ahora y para siempre.
Desde el nacimiento del sol hasta su ocaso(D),
alabado sea el nombre del Señor(E).
Excelso sobre todas las naciones es el Señor(F);
su gloria está sobre los cielos(G).

¿Quién es como el Señor nuestro Dios(H),
que está sentado en las alturas(I),
que se humilla[b] para mirar(J)
lo que hay en el cielo y en la tierra?
Él levanta al pobre del polvo(K),
y al necesitado saca del muladar[c],
para sentarlos con príncipes[d](L),
con los príncipes[e] de su pueblo.
Hace habitar en casa a la mujer estéril(M),
gozosa de ser madre de hijos.

Praise to the Merciful God

Hallelujah!
Give praise, servants of the Lord;
praise the name of the Lord.(A)
Let the name of the Lord be blessed
both now and forever.(B)
From the rising of the sun to its setting,
let the name of the Lord be praised.(C)

The Lord is exalted above all the nations,(D)
his glory above the heavens.(E)
Who is like the Lord our God—
the one enthroned on high,(F)
who stoops down to look
on the heavens and the earth?(G)
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the trash heap(H)
in order to seat them with nobles—
with the nobles of his people.(I)
He gives the childless woman a household,
making her the joyful mother of children.(J)

The Majesty and Condescension of God

113 Praise[a] the Lord!

(A)Praise, O servants of the Lord,
Praise the name of the Lord!
(B)Blessed be the name of the Lord
From this time forth and forevermore!
(C)From the rising of the sun to its going down
The Lord’s name is to be praised.

The Lord is (D)high above all nations,
(E)His glory above the heavens.
(F)Who is like the Lord our God,
Who dwells on high,
(G)Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?

(H)He raises the poor out of the dust,
And lifts the (I)needy out of the ash heap,
That He may (J)seat him with princes—
With the princes of His people.
(K)He grants the [b]barren woman a home,
Like a joyful mother of children.

    as a happy mother of children.
