Salmos 111
Traducción en lenguaje actual
Alabemos a Dios
SALMO 111 (110)
111 ¡Alabemos a nuestro Dios!
Ustedes, la gente honrada,
únanse a mí para alabar a Dios
de todo corazón.
2 ¡Grandes son las maravillas
que Dios ha realizado!
Grande es la alegría
de los que se admiran al verlas.
3 En todo lo que hace puede verse
el esplendor y la grandeza
que merece nuestro Dios y rey;
su justicia es siempre la misma.
4 Dios es muy tierno y bondadoso,
y hace que sus maravillas
sean siempre recordadas.
5 Dios da de comer
al pueblo que lo adora,
y jamás se olvida de su pacto.
6 Da a conocer a su pueblo
sus actos poderosos,
y le da en posesión
los territorios de otras naciones.
7 La ley de nuestro Dios es verdadera;
podemos confiar en sus mandatos,
8 pues tienen valor permanente;
nacen de la verdad y de la rectitud.
9 Dios dio libertad a su pueblo;
así afirmó su pacto eterno.
¡Imponente es el Dios de Israel;
el único Dios!
10 Si alguien quiere ser sabio,
que empiece por obedecer a Dios.
Quienes lo hacen así,
demuestran inteligencia.
¡Dios merece ser siempre alabado!

Psalm 111
Praise for God’s Wonderful Works
1 Praise the Lord!
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,
in the company of the upright, in the congregation.
2 Great are the works of the Lord,
studied by all who delight in them.
3 Full of honor and majesty is his work,
and his righteousness endures forever.
4 He has gained renown by his wonderful deeds;
the Lord is gracious and merciful.
5 He provides food for those who fear him;
he is ever mindful of his covenant.
6 He has shown his people the power of his works,
in giving them the heritage of the nations.
7 The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.
8 They are established forever and ever,
to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
9 He sent redemption to his people;
he has commanded his covenant forever.
Holy and awesome is his name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it[a] have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever.
