Dios cuida de sus obras
104 Bendice, alma mía, al Señor(A).
Señor, Dios mío, cuán grande eres;
te has vestido de esplendor y de majestad(B),
2 cubriéndote de luz como con un manto(C),
extendiendo los cielos como una cortina(D).
3 Él es el que pone las vigas de sus altos aposentos en las aguas(E);
el que hace de las nubes su carroza(F);
el que anda sobre las alas del viento(G);
4 que hace de los vientos sus mensajeros[a](H),
y de las llamas de fuego sus ministros[b](I).
5 Él estableció la tierra(J) sobre sus cimientos,
para que jamás sea sacudida[c].
6 La cubriste(K) con el abismo como con un vestido;
las aguas estaban sobre los montes.
7 A tu reprensión huyeron(L);
al sonido de tu trueno(M) se precipitaron.
8 Se levantaron los montes, se hundieron los valles,
al lugar que tú estableciste(N) para ellos.
9 Pusiste un límite que no pueden cruzar(O),
para que no vuelvan a cubrir la tierra.
10 Él hace brotar[d] manantiales en los valles(P),
corren entre los montes;
11 dan de beber a todas las bestias(Q) del campo,
los asnos monteses mitigan su sed(R).
12 Junto a[e] ellos habitan las aves de los cielos(S),
elevan[f] sus trinos entre las ramas.
13 Él[g] riega los montes desde sus aposentos[h](T),
del fruto de sus obras se sacia la tierra.
14 Él[i] hace brotar la hierba(U) para el ganado[j],
y las plantas(V) para el servicio del[k] hombre,
para que él[l] saque alimento[m] de la tierra(W),
15 y vino(X) que alegra el corazón del hombre,
para que haga brillar con aceite su rostro(Y),
y alimento[n] que fortalece el corazón del hombre(Z).
16 Los árboles del Señor se sacian,
los cedros del Líbano que Él plantó,
17 donde hacen sus nidos las aves(AA),
y la cigüeña(AB), cuya morada está en[o] los cipreses.
18 Los montes altos son para las cabras monteses(AC);
las peñas(AD) son refugio para los tejones(AE).
19 Él hizo la luna para medir las estaciones(AF);
el sol(AG) conoce el lugar de su ocaso.
20 Tú ordenas la oscuridad y se hace de noche(AH),
en ella andan[p] todas las bestias del bosque(AI).
21 Rugen los leoncillos(AJ) tras su presa,
y buscan[q] de Dios su comida(AK).
22 Al salir el sol se esconden,
y se echan en sus guaridas(AL).
23 Sale el hombre a su trabajo(AM),
y a su labor hasta el atardecer.
24 ¡Cuán numerosas son tus obras, oh Señor(AN)!
Con sabiduría(AO) las has hecho todas;
llena está la tierra(AP) de tus posesiones[r].
25 He allí[s] el mar(AQ), grande y anchuroso[t],
en el cual hay un hervidero innumerable
de animales tanto pequeños como grandes.
26 Allí surcan las naves(AR),
y el[u] Leviatán[v](AS) que hiciste para jugar en él.
27 Todos ellos esperan en ti(AT),
para que les des su comida(AU) a su tiempo.
28 Tú les das, ellos recogen;
abres tu mano(AV), se sacian de bienes.
29 Escondes tu rostro(AW), se turban;
les quitas el aliento[w](AX), expiran,
y vuelven al[x] polvo(AY).
30 Envías tu Espíritu[y](AZ), son creados,
y renuevas la faz de la tierra.
31 ¡Sea para siempre la gloria del Señor(BA)!
¡Alégrese el Señor en sus obras(BB)!
32 Él[z] mira a la tierra, y ella tiembla(BC);
toca los montes, y humean(BD).
33 Al Señor cantaré[aa] mientras yo viva[ab](BE);
cantaré alabanzas a mi Dios(BF) mientras yo exista.
34 Séale agradable mi meditación(BG);
yo me alegraré en el Señor(BH).
35 Sean consumidos de la tierra los pecadores(BI),
y los impíos dejen de ser(BJ).
Bendice, alma mía, al Señor(BK).

O Lord My God, You Are Very Great
104 (A)Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, you are (B)very great!
(C)You are clothed with splendor and majesty,
2 covering yourself with light as with a garment,
(D)stretching out the heavens (E)like a tent.
3 He (F)lays the beams of his (G)chambers on the waters;
he makes (H)the clouds his chariot;
he rides on (I)the wings of the wind;
4 he (J)makes his messengers winds,
his (K)ministers (L)a flaming fire.
5 He (M)set the earth on its foundations,
so that it should never be moved.
6 You (N)covered it with the deep as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
7 At (O)your rebuke they fled;
at (P)the sound of your thunder they (Q)took to flight.
8 The mountains rose, the valleys sank down
to the place that you (R)appointed for them.
9 You set (S)a boundary that they may not pass,
so that they (T)might not again cover the earth.
10 You make springs gush forth in the valleys;
they flow between the hills;
11 they (U)give drink to every beast of the field;
the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12 Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell;
they sing among the branches.
13 (V)From your lofty abode you (W)water the mountains;
the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.
14 You cause (X)the grass to grow for the livestock
and (Y)plants for man to cultivate,
that he may bring forth (Z)food from the earth
15 and (AA)wine to gladden the heart of man,

and bread to (AC)strengthen man's heart.
16 The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly,

17 In them the birds build their nests;
the stork has her home in the fir trees.
18 The high mountains are for (AF)the wild goats;
the rocks are a refuge for (AG)the rock badgers.
19 He made the moon to mark the (AH)seasons;[a]
the sun knows its time for setting.
20 (AI)You make darkness, and it is night,
when all the beasts of the forest creep about.
21 (AJ)The young lions roar for their prey,
seeking their food from God.
22 When the sun rises, they steal away
and lie down in their (AK)dens.
23 (AL)Man goes out to his work
and to his labor until the evening.
24 O Lord, how manifold are your works!
In (AM)wisdom have you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
25 Here is the sea, great and wide,
(AN)which teems with creatures innumerable,
living things both small and great.
26 There go the ships,
and (AO)Leviathan, which you formed to (AP)play in it.[b]
27 These (AQ)all look to you,
to (AR)give them their food in due season.
28 When you give it to them, they gather it up;
when you (AS)open your hand, they are filled with good things.
29 When you (AT)hide your face, they are (AU)dismayed;
when you (AV)take away their breath, they die
and (AW)return to their dust.
30 When you (AX)send forth your Spirit,[c] they are created,
and you (AY)renew the face of the ground.
31 May the glory of the Lord (AZ)endure forever;
may the Lord (BA)rejoice in his works,
32 who looks on the earth and it (BB)trembles,
who (BC)touches the mountains and they smoke!
33 I will sing to the Lord (BD)as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being.
34 May my (BE)meditation be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the Lord.
35 Let (BF)sinners be consumed from the earth,
and let the wicked be no more!

1 Binecuvântează, suflete, pe(A) Domnul!
Doamne, Dumnezeule, Tu eşti nemărginit de mare!
Tu(B) eşti îmbrăcat cu strălucire şi măreţie!
2 Te(C) înveleşti cu lumina ca şi cu o manta; întinzi(D) cerurile ca un cort.
3 Cu(E) apele Îţi întocmeşti vârful locuinţei Tale;
din(F) nori Îţi faci carul
şi(G) umbli pe aripile vântului.
4 Din vânturi Îţi faci(H) soli
şi din flăcări(I) de foc, slujitori.
5 Tu ai aşezat(J) pământul pe temeliile lui,
şi niciodată nu se va clătina.
6 Tu îl acoperiseşi cu(K) adâncul cum l-ai acoperi cu o haină;
apele stăteau pe munţi,
7 dar, la ameninţarea Ta, au fugit(L),
la glasul tunetului Tău, au luat-o la fugă,
8 suindu-se pe munţi(M) şi pogorându-se în văi,
până la locul(N) pe care li-l hotărâseşi Tu.
9 Le-ai pus o margine(O) pe care nu trebuie s-o treacă,
pentru ca să(P) nu se mai întoarcă să acopere pământul.
10 Tu faci să ţâşnească izvoarele în văi
şi ele curg printre munţi.
11 Tu adăpi la ele toate fiarele câmpului;
în ele îşi potolesc setea măgarii sălbatici.
12 Păsările cerului locuiesc pe marginile lor
şi fac să le răsune glasul printre ramuri.
13 Din locaşul Tău cel înalt Tu(Q) uzi munţii;
şi se satură(R) pământul de rodul(S) lucrărilor Tale.
14 Tu(T) faci să crească iarba pentru vite
şi verdeţuri pentru nevoile omului,
ca pământul să dea hrană(U):
15 vin(V), care înveseleşte inima omului,
untdelemn, care-i înfrumuseţează faţa,
şi pâine, care-i întăreşte inima.
16 Se udă copacii Domnului,
cedrii din Liban, pe care(W) i-a sădit El.
17 În ei îşi fac păsările cuiburi;
iar cocostârcul îşi are locuinţa în chiparoşi;
18 munţii cei înalţi sunt pentru ţapii sălbatici,
iar stâncile sunt adăpost pentru iepuri(X).
19 El a făcut(Y) luna ca să arate vremurile;
soarele ştie(Z) când trebuie să apună.
20 Tu aduci(AA) întunericul şi se face noapte:
atunci toate fiarele pădurilor se pun în mişcare;
21 puii(AB) de lei mugesc după pradă
şi îşi cer hrana de la Dumnezeu.
22 Când răsare soarele, ele fug înapoi
şi se culcă în vizuinile lor.
23 Dar omul iese la lucrul(AC) său
şi la munca lui până seara.
24 Cât(AD) de multe sunt lucrările Tale, Doamne!
Tu pe toate le-ai făcut cu înţelepciune
şi pământul este plin de făpturile Tale.
25 Iată marea cea întinsă şi mare:
în ea se mişcă nenumărate vieţuitoare
mici şi mari.
26 Acolo pe ea umblă corăbiile
şi în ea este leviatanul(AE) acela pe care l-ai făcut să se joace în valurile ei.
27 Toate(AF) aceste vieţuitoare Te aşteaptă,
ca să le dai hrana la vreme.
28 Le-o dai Tu, ele o primesc;
Îţi deschizi Tu mâna, ele se satură de bunătăţile Tale.
29 Îţi ascunzi Tu Faţa, ele tremură;
le iei(AG) Tu suflarea, ele mor
şi se întorc în ţărâna lor.
30 Îţi trimiţi(AH) Tu suflarea: ele sunt zidite
şi înnoieşti astfel faţa pământului.
31 În veci să ţină slava Domnului!
Să Se(AI) bucure Domnul de lucrările Lui!
32 El priveşte pământul, şi pământul se(AJ) cutremură;
atinge(AK) munţii, şi ei fumegă.
33 Voi(AL) cânta Domnului cât voi trăi,
voi lăuda pe Dumnezeul meu cât voi fi!
34 Fie plăcute Lui cuvintele mele!
Mă bucur de Domnul.
35 Să piară(AM) păcătoşii de pe pământ
şi cei răi să nu mai fie!
Binecuvântează(AN), suflete, pe Domnul!
Lăudaţi pe Domnul!
