Salmos 101
Dios Habla Hoy
Promesa del rey a Dios
(1a) Salmo de David.
101 (1b) Quiero alabar el amor y la justicia;
quiero, Señor, cantarte himnos;
2 quiero vivir con rectitud.
¿Cuándo vendrás a mí?
Será intachable mi conducta
aun en mi propio palacio;
3 no pondré jamás la mira
en propósitos perversos.
Odio a quienes son desleales a Dios;
¡jamás permitiré que se me acerquen!
4 Alejaré de mí los pensamientos perversos:
¡no quiero hacer nada malo!
5 Haré callar a aquellos
que a escondidas hablan mal de su vecino;
¡no soporto al altanero y arrogante!
6 Pondré mis ojos en los hombres leales,
para que vivan junto a mí;
sólo estará a mi servicio
el que lleve una vida recta.
7 Para el tramposo no habrá lugar en mi palacio;
¡ningún mentiroso podrá estar en mi presencia!
8 Día tras día reduciré al silencio
a todos los malvados del país;
¡arrojaré de la ciudad del Señor
a todos los malhechores!
Psalm 101
King James Version
101 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord.
Psalm 101
Contemporary English Version
(A psalm by David.)
A King and His Promises
1 I will sing to you, Lord!
I will celebrate your kindness
and your justice.
2 Please help me learn
to do the right thing,
and I will be honest and fair
in my own kingdom.
3 I refuse to be corrupt
or to take part
in anything crooked,
4 and I won't be dishonest
or deceitful.
5 Anyone who spreads gossip
will be silenced;
no one who is conceited
will be my friend.
6 I will find trustworthy people
to serve as my advisors;
only an honest person
will serve as an official.
7 No one who cheats or lies
will have a position
in my royal court.
8 Each morning I will silence
any lawbreakers I find
in the countryside
or in the city of the Lord.
Psalm 101
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
Psalm 101
A Psalm of David.
1 I will sing of mercy and loving-kindness and justice; to You, O Lord, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely and give heed to the blameless way—O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.
3 I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside [from the right path]; it shall not grasp hold of me.
4 A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil person or thing.
5 Whoso privily slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off [from me]; he who has a haughty look and a proud and arrogant heart I cannot and I will not tolerate.
6 My eyes shall [look with favor] upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks blamelessly, he shall minister to me.
7 He who works deceit shall not dwell in my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.
8 Morning after morning I will root up all the wicked in the land, that I may eliminate all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.
