Audacia e impiedad de los malvados
10 ¿Por qué estás lejos, oh Jehová,
Y te escondes en el tiempo de la tribulación?
2 Con arrogancia el malo persigue al pobre;
Queda atrapado en la trama que le ha urdido.
3 Porque el malo se jacta de los antojos de su alma,
El codicioso maldice, y desprecia a Jehová.
4 El malo, por la altivez de su rostro, no busca a Dios;
No hay Dios en ninguno de sus pensamientos.
5 Sus caminos son torcidos en todo tiempo;
Tus juicios los tiene muy lejos de su vista;
A todos sus adversarios desprecia.
6 Dice en su corazón: No seré inquietado jamás;
Nunca me alcanzará el infortunio.
7 Llena está su boca de maldición, y de engaños y fraude;
Debajo de su lengua hay vejación y maldad.
8 Se sienta en acecho cerca de las aldeas;
Para matar a escondidas al inocente.
Sus ojos están acechando al desvalido;
9 Acecha en oculto, como el león desde su cueva;
Acecha para arrebatar al pobre;
Atrapa al desdichado atrayéndolo a su red.
10 Se encoge, se agacha,
Y caen en sus fuertes garras muchos infelices.
11 Dice en su corazón: Dios se ha olvidado;
Tiene tapado su rostro; nunca lo verá.
12 Levántate, oh Jehová Dios, alza tu mano;
No te olvides de los pobres.
13 ¿Por qué desprecia el malo a Dios?
En su corazón ha dicho: Tú no lo inquirirás.
14 Tú lo has visto; porque miras los trabajos y la vejación, para dar la recompensa con tu mano;
A ti se acoge el desvalido;
Tú eres el amparo del huérfano.
15 Quebranta tú el brazo del inicuo,
Y persigue la maldad del malo hasta que desaparezca.
16 Jehová es Rey eternamente para siempre;
De su tierra han sido barridos los gentiles.
17 El deseo de los humildes escuchas, oh Jehová;
Tú confortas su corazón, y tienes atento tu oído,
18 Para hacer justicia al huérfano y al oprimido,
A fin de que no vuelva más a infundir terror el hombre hecho de arcilla.

New International Version
Psalm 10[a]
2 In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak,(C)
who are caught in the schemes he devises.
3 He boasts(D) about the cravings of his heart;
he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.(E)
4 In his pride the wicked man does not seek him;
in all his thoughts there is no room for God.(F)
5 His ways are always prosperous;
your laws are rejected by[b] him;
he sneers at all his enemies.
6 He says to himself, “Nothing will ever shake me.”
He swears, “No one will ever do me harm.”(G)
7 His mouth is full(H) of lies and threats;(I)
trouble and evil are under his tongue.(J)
8 He lies in wait(K) near the villages;
from ambush he murders the innocent.(L)
His eyes watch in secret for his victims;
9 like a lion in cover he lies in wait.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless;(M)
he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.(N)
10 His victims are crushed,(O) they collapse;
they fall under his strength.
11 He says to himself, “God will never notice;(P)
he covers his face and never sees.”(Q)
12 Arise,(R) Lord! Lift up your hand,(S) O God.
Do not forget the helpless.(T)
13 Why does the wicked man revile God?(U)
Why does he say to himself,
“He won’t call me to account”?(V)
14 But you, God, see the trouble(W) of the afflicted;
you consider their grief and take it in hand.
The victims commit themselves to you;(X)
you are the helper(Y) of the fatherless.
15 Break the arm of the wicked man;(Z)
call the evildoer to account for his wickedness
that would not otherwise be found out.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever;(AA)
the nations(AB) will perish from his land.
17 You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted;(AC)
you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,(AD)
18 defending the fatherless(AE) and the oppressed,(AF)
so that mere earthly mortals
will never again strike terror.
