Plegaria que pide la destrucción de los malvados
10 Señor, ¿por qué estás tan lejos?
¿Por qué te escondes en momentos de angustia?
2 Arrogante, el malvado persigue al pobre;
¡pero sus propias trampas lo atraparán!
3 El injusto se jacta de sus malos deseos;
alaba al ambicioso y desprecia al Señor.
4 Tan soberbio es el impío que no busca a Dios,
ni le da lugar en sus pensamientos.
5 Todo el tiempo sus caminos son torcidos,
desprecia a todos sus adversarios,
y tus leyes están muy lejos de su vista.
6 Y se dice: «Jamás voy a tropezar.
¡Jamás me alcanzará la desgracia!»
7 Abundan en su boca maldiciones, engaños y mentiras.(A)
Bajo su lengua esconde ofensas y maldad.
8 Se acerca a las aldeas, y las acecha;
tiende emboscadas para matar al inocente;
pone los ojos en el desvalido.
9 Se agazapa, como el león en su cueva;
luego se acerca para caer sobre el pobre
y atraparlo en su red y arrebatarle sus bienes.
10 Se encoge, se agazapa,
y muchos desdichados caen en sus garras.
11 Piensa para sí que Dios se ha olvidado,
que esconde la cara y nunca ve nada.
12 ¡Vamos, Señor y Dios, levanta la mano!
¡No te olvides de los pobres!
13 ¿Por qué tendría que menospreciarte el malvado?
¿Por qué habría de pensar que no intervendrás?
14 Pero tú sí ves los trabajos y la humillación,
y a cada uno le das su recompensa.
En ti busca amparo el desvalido;
¡eres el refugio de los huérfanos.
15 ¡Rómpeles los brazos a los malvados!
¡Persigue su maldad, hasta acabar con ella!
16 Tú, Señor, reinas eternamente y para siempre;
¡borra de su tierra a las naciones!
17 Tú, Señor, escuchas las plegarias de los pobres;
tú les das ánimo y les prestas atención.
18 Tú reivindicas al huérfano y al oprimido,
para que los simples mortales
no sigan violentando la tierra.

A Song of Confidence in God’s Triumph over Evil
10 Why do You stand afar off, O Lord?
Why do You hide in times of trouble?
2 The wicked in his pride [a]persecutes the poor;
(A)Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.
3 For the wicked (B)boasts of his heart’s desire;
[b]He (C)blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord.
4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God;
[c]God is in none of his (D)thoughts.
5 His ways [d]are always prospering;
Your judgments are far above, out of his sight;
As for all his enemies, he sneers at them.
6 (E)He has said in his heart, “I shall not be moved;
(F)I shall never be in adversity.”
7 (G)His mouth is full of cursing and (H)deceit and oppression;
Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity.
8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages;
In the secret places he murders the innocent;
His eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless.
9 He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den;
He lies in wait to catch the poor;
He catches the poor when he draws him into his net.
10 So [e]he crouches, he lies low,
That the helpless may fall by his [f]strength.
11 He has said in his heart,
“God has forgotten;
He hides His face;
He will never see.”
12 Arise, O Lord!
O God, (I)lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the (J)humble.
13 Why do the wicked renounce God?
He has said in his heart,
“You will not require an account.”
14 But You have (K)seen, for You observe trouble and grief,
To repay it by Your hand.
The helpless (L)commits[g] himself to You;
(M)You are the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man;
Seek out his wickedness until You find none.
16 (N)The Lord is King forever and ever;
The nations have perished out of His land.
17 Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble;
You will prepare their heart;
You will cause Your ear to hear,
18 To [h]do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed,
That the man of the earth may [i]oppress no more.

求上帝惩治恶人
10 耶和华啊，你为何远远站着？
为何在我遭难时隐藏起来？
2 恶人狂妄地追逼穷苦人，
愿他们落入自己所设的圈套。
3 恶人夸耀自己的贪欲，
贪婪的人憎恨、咒诅耶和华。
4 他们狂傲自大，心中没有上帝，
从不寻求耶和华。
5 他们凡事顺利，
对你的审判不屑一顾，
对所有的仇敌嗤之以鼻。
6 他们自以为可以屹立不倒，
世世代代永不遭殃。
7 他们满口咒诅、谎话和恐吓之言，
舌头沾满祸害和邪恶。
8 他们埋伏在村庄，
暗中监视受害者，杀害无辜。
9 他们像狮子埋伏在暗处，
猎取无助的人，
用网罗拖走他们。
10 不幸的人被击垮，
倒在他们的暴力下。
11 他们自言自语：“上帝忘记了，
祂掩面不理这些事！”
12 耶和华啊，求你起来！
上帝啊，求你举手施罚，
不要忘记无助的人！
13 恶人为何轻视上帝，
以为上帝不会追究呢？
14 但你已看到世人的疾苦，
随时伸出援手。
困苦无助的人投靠你，
你是孤儿的帮助。
15 求你打断恶人的臂膀，
彻底追究他们的罪恶。
16 耶和华永永远远是君王，
列邦必从祂的土地上灭亡。
17 耶和华啊，
你知道困苦人的愿望，
你必垂听他们的呼求，
安慰他们。
18 你为孤儿和受欺压的人申冤，
使渺小的世人不能再恐吓他们。
