El justo y los pecadores
1 Bienaventurado el varón
que no anduvo en consejo de malos,
ni estuvo en camino de pecadores,
ni en silla de escarnecedores se ha sentado,
2 sino que en la ley de Jehová está su delicia
y en su Ley medita de día y de noche.
3 Será como árbol plantado junto a corrientes de aguas,
que da su fruto en su tiempo
y su hoja no cae,
y todo lo que hace prosperará.
4 No así los malos,
que son como el tamo que arrebata el viento.
5 Por tanto, no se levantarán los malos en el juicio
ni los pecadores en la congregación de los justos,
6 porque Jehová conoce el camino de los justos,
mas la senda de los malos perecerá.

1 Dichoso es quien
no sigue el consejo de los malvados,
ni se detiene en la senda de los pecadores,
ni se sienta en la reunión de los burladores,
2 sino que en la Ley del Señor se deleita
y día y noche medita en ella.
3 Es como el árbol plantado a la orilla de un río
que, cuando llega su tiempo, da fruto
y sus hojas jamás se marchitan.
Todo cuanto hace prospera.
4 En cambio, los malvados
son como paja arrastrada por el viento.
5 Por eso no se sostendrán los malvados en el juicio
ni los pecadores en la asamblea de los justos.
6 Porque el Señor cuida el camino de los justos,
mas la senda de los malvados lleva a la perdición.

The Two Ways
1 How happy is the man
who does not follow[a] the advice of the wicked
or take[b] the path of sinners
or join a group[c] of mockers!(A)
2 Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction,
and he meditates on it day and night.(B)
3 He is like a tree planted beside streams of water[d]
that bears its fruit in season[e](C)
and whose leaf does not wither.(D)
Whatever he does prospers.(E)

1 How well God must like you—
you don’t walk in the ruts of those blind-as-bats,
you don’t stand with the good-for-nothings,
you don’t take your seat among the know-it-alls.
2-3 Instead you thrill to God’s Word,
you chew on Scripture day and night.
You’re a tree replanted in Eden,
bearing fresh fruit every month,
Never dropping a leaf,
always in blossom.
4-5 You’re not at all like the wicked,
who are mere windblown dust—
Without defense in court,
unfit company for innocent people.
6 God charts the road you take.
The road they take leads to nowhere.
