Contraste entre el justo y los impíos
1 ¡Cuán bienaventurado es el hombre que no anda(A) en el consejo de los impíos(B),
ni se detiene en el camino de los pecadores(C),
ni se sienta en la silla de los escarnecedores(D),
2 sino que en la ley del Señor está su deleite(E),
y en su ley medita de día(F) y de noche(G)!
3 Será como árbol firmemente plantado junto a corrientes[a] de agua(H),
que da su fruto a su tiempo,
y su hoja[b] no se marchita;
en todo lo que hace, prospera[c](I).
4 No así los impíos,
que son como paja que se lleva el viento(J).
5 Por tanto, no se sostendrán[d] los impíos(K) en el juicio(L),
ni los pecadores en la congregación de los justos(M).
6 Porque el Señor conoce[e] el camino de los justos(N),
mas el camino de los impíos perecerá(O).

PSALM 1
Zwei Menschen, zwei Wege, zwei Lebensziele
1 Wohl dem, der nicht wandelt nach dem Rate der Gottlosen,
noch tritt auf den Weg der Sünder,
noch sitzt, da die Spötter sitzen;
2 sondern seine Lust hat am Gesetz des Herrn
und in seinem Gesetze forscht Tag und Nacht.
3 Der ist wie ein Baum, gepflanzt an Wasserbächen,
der seine Frucht bringt zu seiner Zeit
und dessen Blätter nicht verwelken,
und alles, was er macht, gerät wohl.
4 Nicht so die Gottlosen;
sondern sie sind wie Spreu, die der Wind zerstreut.
5 Darum werden die Gottlosen nicht bestehen im Gericht,
noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten;
6 denn der Herr kennt den Weg der Gerechten;
aber der Gottlosen Weg führt ins Verderben.

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

1 Blessed is the one(A)

or sit(F) in the company of mockers,(G)
