Justos y pecadores
1 Afortunado el que no sigue el consejo de los perversos,
ni el ejemplo de los pecadores,
ni se une con los que andan burlándose de todo.
2 Al contrario, le gusta la enseñanza del SEÑOR
y la estudia día y noche.
3 Será tan fuerte como un árbol plantado
junto a corrientes de agua fresca,
que da su fruto en el momento adecuado
y al que nunca se le caen las hojas.
Le irá bien en todo lo que haga.
4 En cambio, pasa distinto con los perversos.
Ellos son como paja que el viento se lleva lejos.
5 Por eso, los perversos siempre serán declarados culpables,
y los pecadores no podrán sentarse al lado de los justos.[a]
6 El SEÑOR sabe guiar por buen camino a los justos,
pero los perversos se desvían y se pierden.

1 Blessed is the one(A)
who does not walk(B) in step with the wicked(C)
or stand in the way(D) that sinners take(E)
or sit(F) in the company of mockers,(G)
2 but whose delight(H) is in the law of the Lord,(I)
and who meditates(J) on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree(K) planted by streams(L) of water,(M)
which yields its fruit(N) in season
and whose leaf(O) does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.(P)

1 How blessed are those
who reject the advice of the wicked,
don’t stand on the way of sinners
or sit where scoffers sit!
2 Their delight
is in Adonai’s Torah;
on his Torah they meditate
day and night.
3 They are like trees planted by streams —
they bear their fruit in season,
their leaves never wither,
everything they do succeeds.
4 Not so the wicked,
who are like chaff driven by the wind.
5 For this reason the wicked
won’t stand up to the judgment,
nor will sinners
at the gathering of the righteous.
6 For Adonai watches over
the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked
is doomed.
