87 (A)Salmo dei figli di Core.

Cantico.

Il Signore ha fondato la sua città sui monti santi.

Egli ama le porte di Sion

più di tutte le dimore di Giacobbe.

Cose gloriose son dette di te,

o città di Dio! [Pausa]

«Menzionerò l’Egitto[a] e Babilonia fra quelli che mi conoscono;

ecco la Filistia e Tiro, con l’Etiopia:

ciascuno d’essi è nato in Sion!»

E si dirà in Sion: «Questi e quello son nati in essa;

e l’Altissimo la renderà stabile».

Il Signore farà il censimento e nel registrare i popoli dirà:

«Questi è nato là». [Pausa]

E cantando e danzando diranno:

«Tutte le fonti della mia gioia sono in te».

Salmo de los hijos de Coré. Cántico.

87 En los montes santos están Sus cimientos(A).
El Señor ama las puertas de Sión(B)
Más que todas las otras moradas de Jacob.
Cosas gloriosas se dicen de ti(C),
Oh ciudad de Dios(D): (Selah)
«Mencionaré a Egipto[a](E) y a Babilonia entre los que me conocen;
A Filistea y Tiro(F) con Etiopía(G). De sus moradores se dirá:
“Este nació allí”».
Pero de Sión se dirá: «Este y aquel nacieron en ella»;
Y el Altísimo mismo la establecerá(H).
El Señor contará al inscribir los pueblos(I):
«Este nació allí». (Selah)
Entonces tanto los cantores(J) como los flautistas(K), dirán:
«En ti están todas mis fuentes de gozo(L)».

87 The city he founded[a] is on the holy mountains.(A)
The Lord loves Zion’s city gates
more than all the dwellings of Jacob.(B)
Glorious things are said about you,
city of God.(C) Selah

‘I will make a record of those who know me:
Rahab, Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and Cush –
each one was born there.’(D)
And it will be said of Zion,
‘This one and that one were born in her.’
The Most High himself will establish her.(E)
When he registers the peoples,
the Lord will record,
‘This one was born there.’(F) Selah
Singers and dancers[b] alike will say,[c]
‘My whole source of joy is[d] in you.’(G)

Psalm 87

Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. A song.

He has founded his city on the holy mountain.(A)
The Lord loves the gates of Zion(B)
    more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.

Glorious things are said of you,
    city of God:[a](C)
“I will record Rahab[b](D) and Babylon
    among those who acknowledge me—
Philistia(E) too, and Tyre(F), along with Cush[c]
    and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’”[d](G)
Indeed, of Zion it will be said,
    “This one and that one were born in her,
    and the Most High himself will establish her.”
The Lord will write in the register(H) of the peoples:
    “This one was born in Zion.”

As they make music(I) they will sing,
    “All my fountains(J) are in you.”
