54 «Al maestro del coro. Cantico di Davide quando gli Ziffei vennero da Saul a dirgli: «Non è Davide nascosto tra di noi?».» O DIO, salvami per il tuo nome e fammi giustizia per la tua potenza.

2 O DIO, ascolta la mia preghiera e porgi orecchio alle parole della mia bocca.

3 Perché degli stranieri si sono levati contro di me, e dei violenti cercano la mia vita, uomini che non tengono DIO davanti ai loro occhi. (Sela)

4 Ecco DIO è il mio aiuto, il Signore è colui che sostiene la mia vita.

5 Egli retribuirà i miei nemici del male fattomi, nella tua fedeltà distruggili.

6 DIO tutto cuore ti offrirò sacrifici; celebrerò il tuo nome, o Eterno, perché è buono;

7 poiché mi hai liberato da ogni angoscia, il mio occhio ha visto sui miei nemici ciò che desideravo.

Psalm 54[a]

For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskil[b] of David. When the Ziphites(A) had gone to Saul and said, “Is not David hiding among us?”

1 Save me(B), O God, by your name;(C)
    vindicate me by your might.(D)
2 Hear my prayer, O God;(E)
    listen to the words of my mouth.

3 Arrogant foes are attacking me;(F)
    ruthless people(G) are trying to kill me(H)—
    people without regard for God.[c](I)

4 Surely God is my help;(J)
    the Lord is the one who sustains me.(K)

5 Let evil recoil(L) on those who slander me;
    in your faithfulness(M) destroy them.

6 I will sacrifice a freewill offering(N) to you;
    I will praise(O) your name, Lord, for it is good.(P)
7 You have delivered me(Q) from all my troubles,
    and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.(R)

Para el director del coro; con instrumentos de cuerda. Masquil[a] de David, cuando los zifeos vinieron y dijeron a Saúl: ¿No está David escondido entre nosotros?[b]

54 ¡Sálvame! Oh Dios, por tu nombre(A),
y hazme justicia[c] con tu poder(B).
2 Escucha mi oración(C), oh Dios,
presta oído a las palabras de mi boca(D).
3 Porque extraños se han levantado contra mí,
y hombres violentos(E) buscan mi vida[d](F);
no han puesto a Dios delante de sí(G). (Selah[e])

4 He aquí, Dios es el que me ayuda(H);
el Señor es el que sostiene[f] mi alma(I).
5 Él devolverá el mal[g] a mis enemigos[h](J);
destrúyelos(K) por tu fidelidad[i](L).

6 Voluntariamente[j] sacrificaré a ti(M);
alabaré[k] tu nombre(N), oh Señor, porque es bueno.
7 Porque Él[l] me ha librado de toda angustia(O),
y mis ojos han visto a mis enemigos derrotados(P).
