10 Men över Davids hus och över Jerusalems invånare skall jag utgjuta en nådens och bönens ande, så att de se upp till mig, och se vem de hava stungit. Och de skola hålla dödsklagan efter honom, såsom man håller dödsklagan efter ende sonen, och skola bittert sörja honom, såsom man sörjer sin förstfödde.
11 Ja, på den tiden skall i Jerusalem hållas stor dödsklagan, sådan den var, som hölls i Hadadrimmon på Megiddons slätt.
12 Och släkterna i landet skola hålla dödsklagan var för sig: Davids hus släkt för sig, och dess kvinnor för sig, Natans hus' släkt för sig, och dess kvinnor för sig,

10 Över folket i Jerusalem ska jag sända en nådens och bönens ande. De ska se upp till honom som de har genomborrat, sörja honom som man sörjer den ende sonen och gråta som när den förstfödde har dött.
11 Jerusalems sorg och förtvivlan ska då vara större än sorgen över kung Josia, som dödades på Megiddos slätt.
12-14 Hela Israel ska gråta i djup sorg. Alla ska sörja: kungahuset, profeter och präster och allt folket.Varje familj ska sörja för sig, kvinnorna för sig och männen för sig.

Mourning for the One They Pierced
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit[a](A) of grace and supplication.(B) They will look on[b] me, the one they have pierced,(C) and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child,(D) and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.(E) 11 On that day the weeping(F) in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.(G) 12 The land will mourn,(H) each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives,
