De fyra vagnarna
6 När jag sedan tittade upp fick jag se fyra vagnar komma fram mellan vad som såg ut att vara två berg av koppar.
2 Den första vagnen drogs av röda hästar, den andra av svarta,
3 den tredje av vita hästar och den fjärde av spräckliga hästar.
4 Vad menas med detta? frågade jag ängeln.
5 Dessa är de fyra himmelska andar som står inför hela jordens Herre. De ska nu fara ut för att göra sin tjänst.
6 Vagnen som dras av de svarta hästarna ska köra norrut, och den med de vita hästarna ska följa efter, medan vagnen med de spräckliga hästarna vänder sig mot söder.
7 De starka hästarna var mycket otåliga att få ge sig ut över jorden, och Herren sa till dem: Besök hela världen! Då gav de sig genast i väg på sitt uppdrag.
8 Därefter ropade ängeln till mig och sa: De som for norrut ska verkställa Guds domar och stilla hans vrede.
Översteprästen som förebild för det nya
9 I ett annat budskap sa Herren:
10-11 Heldai, Tobia och Jedaja ska komma med gåvor av silver och guld från de landsflyktiga judarna i Babylon. Samma dag de kommer ska du möta dem hemma hos Josia, Sefanjas son, där de kommer att ta in. Gör en krona av guldet och silvret som de har med sig. Sätt den på översteprästen Josuas, Josadaks sons, huvud.
12 Berätta för honom vad Herren, härskarornas Gud, säger: 'Du representerar den som ska komma, han vars namn ska vara Grenen och som ska växa ut och bygga upp Herrens tempel.
13 Honom tillhör äran och makten. Han ska regera som både kung och präst i fred och harmoni!'
14 Placera sedan kronan i templet till minne av Heldai, Tobia, Jedaja och Hen, Sefanjas son.
15 Dessa män representerar många andra som en dag ska komma från avlägsna länder för att bygga upp Herrens tempel. När detta händer ska ni veta att mina budskap har varit från Gud, härskarornas Herre. Detta ska ske om ni mycket noga lyder de bud ni fått av Herren, er Gud.

6 Jag lyfte åter upp ögonen och såg, och se, fyra vagnar kom fram mellan två berg, och bergen var av koppar. 2 Framför den första vagnen var röda hästar, framför den andra vagnen svarta, 3 framför den tredje vagnen vita och framför den fjärde vagnen fläckiga, starka hästar. 4 Då frågade jag ängeln som talade med mig: "Vad betyder dessa, min herre?" 5 Ängeln svarade mig: "Det är himlens fyra vindar[a] som drar ut inför hela jordens Herre.
6 Vagnen med de svarta hästarna drar mot nordlandet, och de vita följer efter dem, medan de fläckiga drar mot sydlandet." 7 När de starka gav sig av, var de ivriga att fara omkring på jorden. Då sade han: "Ge er av, far ut över jorden!" Och de for ut över jorden. 8 Och han ropade på mig och sade: "Se, de som drar ut mot nordlandet låter min Ande finna ro[b] i nordlandet."

9 Herrens ord kom till mig. Han sade: 10 Tag emot gåvorna från de landsflyktiga, från Heldaj, Tobia och Jedaja. Gå samma dag bort till det hus som tillhör Josua, Sefanjas son. Dit har de begett sig efter återkomsten från Babel. 11 Du skall ta emot silver och guld och göra kronor som du skall sätta på översteprästen Josuas, Josadaks sons, huvud. 12 Och du skall säga till honom: "Så säger Herren Sebaot:
Se, en man, hans namn är Telningen.[c]
Under honom skall det gro,
och han skall bygga Herrens tempel.
13 Ja, det är han som skall bygga Herrens tempel.
Han skall vinna härlighet
och sitta på sin tron och regera.
En präst skall han vara på sin tron,
och frid skall råda mellan båda.
14 Kronorna skall finnas i Herrens tempel till minne av Helem och Tobia, Jedaja och Hen, Sefanjas son. 15 Fjärran ifrån skall man komma för att bygga på Herrens tempel, och ni skall förstå att Herren Sebaot har sänt mig till er. Så skall ske om ni lyder Herrens, er Guds, röst."

6 De nuevo alcé mis ojos y miré, y he aquí cuatro carros que salían de entre dos montes; y aquellos montes eran de bronce. 2 En el primer carro había caballos alazanes,(A) en el segundo carro caballos negros,(B) 3 en el tercer carro caballos blancos,(C) y en el cuarto carro caballos overos rucios rodados. 4 Respondí entonces y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: Señor mío, ¿qué es esto? 5 Y el ángel me respondió y me dijo: Estos son los cuatro vientos de los cielos,(D) que salen después de presentarse delante del Señor de toda la tierra. 6 El carro con los caballos negros salía hacia la tierra del norte, y los blancos salieron tras ellos, y los overos salieron hacia la tierra del sur. 7 Y los alazanes salieron y se afanaron por ir a recorrer la tierra. Four Chariots
6 I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots(A) coming out from between two mountains—mountains of bronze. 2 The first chariot had red horses, the second black,(B) 3 the third white,(C) and the fourth dappled—all of them powerful. 4 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these, my lord?”
5 The angel answered me, “These are the four spirits[a](D) of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.(E) 6 The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west,[b] and the one with the dappled horses toward the south.”
7 When the powerful horses went out, they were straining to go throughout the earth.(F) And he said, “Go throughout the earth!” So they went throughout the earth.
8 Then he called to me, “Look, those going toward the north country have given my Spirit[c] rest(G) in the land of the north.”(H)
A Crown for Joshua
9 The word of the Lord came to me: 10 “Take silver and gold from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon.(I) Go the same day to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah. 11 Take the silver and gold and make a crown,(J) and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua(K) son of Jozadak.[d](L) 12 Tell him this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Here is the man whose name is the Branch,(M) and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the Lord.(N) 13 It is he who will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he[e] will be a priest(O) on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’ 14 The crown will be given to Heldai,[f] Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen[g] son of Zephaniah as a memorial(P) in the temple of the Lord. 15 Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the Lord,(Q) and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.(R) This will happen if you diligently obey(S) the Lord your God.”

2 In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
3 And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.
4 Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
5 And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
6 The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.
7 And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
8 Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
9 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
10 Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
11 Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The Branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord:
13 Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
14 And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord.
15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the Lord, and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.
