38 Rabbiyow, cadhadaada ha igu canaanan,
Oo dhirifkaaga kululna ha igu edbin.
2 Waayo, fallaadhahaagii aad bay ii mudeen,
Oo gacantaaduna way igu soo degtay.
3 Jidhkaygu fayoobaan ma leh, waana xanaaqaaga daraaddiis,
Oo lafahayguna caafimaad ma leh, waana dembigayga daraaddiis.
4 Waayo, xumaatooyinkaygii waxay ka sare mareen madaxayga,
Sida rar culus ayay igu culus yihiin aad iyo aad.
5 Nabrahaygu way urayaan, wayna qudhmuun yihiin,
Waana nacasnimadayda daraaddeed.
6 Waan xanuunsanayaa, oo aad baan hoos ugu gotay,
Oo maalinta oo dhanna oohin baan la wareegaa.
7 Waayo, dhexdayda waxaa ka buuxa olol,
Oo jidhkayguna fayoobaan ma leh.
8 Waan itaal daranahay, oo aad baan u burbursanahay,
Oo waxaan la cabaaday buuqa qalbigayga ku jira.
9 Sayidow, waxaan jeclahay oo dhammu waxay yaalliin hortaada,
Oo taahiddayduna kaama qarsoona.
10 Wadnahaa i fig leh, oo xooggaygiina waa i gabay,
Oo weliba iftiinkii indhahayguna waa iga tegey.
11 Kuwa i jecel iyo saaxiibbadayba belaayadayda way ka durkaan,
Oo xigaaladaydiina meel fog bay istaagaan.
12 Oo kuwa naftayda doondoonaana dabinno bay ii dhigaan,
Oo kuwa inay wax i yeelaan doonayaana waxay ku hadlaan waxyaalo xun,
Oo maalinta oo dhan waxay ku tashadaan khiyaano.
13 Laakiinse anigu waxba kama maqlo sida nin dhega la',
Oo waxaan la mid ahay nin carrab la' oo aan afkiisa kala qaadin.
14 Haah, oo waxaan la mid ahay nin aan waxba maqlin,
Oo aan afkiisa murammo ku jirin.
15 Waayo, Rabbiyow, adaan wax kaa rajaynayaa,
Oo adna waad ii jawaabi doontaa, Sayidow Ilaahaygiiyow.
16 Waayo, waxaan idhi, Yaanay igu rayrayn,
Oo markii cagtaydu simbiriirixato, yaanay iska kay weynayn.
17 Waayo, waxaan ku dhowahay inaan dhaco,
Oo tiiraanyadayduna had iyo goorba way i hor taalaa.
18 Haddaba anigu xumaantayda waan sheegi doonaa,
Oo dembigaygana waan ka qoomamoon doonaa.
19 Laakiinse cadaawayaashaydu waa dadaal badan yihiin, xoogna way leeyihiin,
Oo kuwa gardarrada igu necebuna way tarmeen.
20 Oo weliba kuwa sharka wanaagga ku gudaana
Waa cadaawayaashayda, maxaa yeelay, waxaan raacaa waxa wanaagsan.
21 Rabbiyow, ha i dayrin,
Ilaahayow, ha iga fogaan.
22 Soo dhaqso oo i caawi,
Sayidow, badbaadadaydow.

A psalm of David. A petition.
1 Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your wrath.(A)
2 Your arrows(B) have pierced me,
and your hand has come down on me.
3 Because of your wrath there is no health(C) in my body;
there is no soundness in my bones(D) because of my sin.
4 My guilt has overwhelmed(E) me
like a burden too heavy to bear.(F)
5 My wounds(G) fester and are loathsome(H)
because of my sinful folly.(I)
6 I am bowed down(J) and brought very low;
all day long I go about mourning.(K)
7 My back is filled with searing pain;(L)
there is no health(M) in my body.
8 I am feeble and utterly crushed;(N)
I groan(O) in anguish of heart.(P)
9 All my longings(Q) lie open before you, Lord;
my sighing(R) is not hidden from you.
10 My heart pounds,(S) my strength fails(T) me;
even the light has gone from my eyes.(U)
11 My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds;(V)
my neighbors stay far away.
12 Those who want to kill me set their traps,(W)
those who would harm me talk of my ruin;(X)
all day long they scheme and lie.(Y)
13 I am like the deaf, who cannot hear,(Z)
like the mute, who cannot speak;
14 I have become like one who does not hear,
whose mouth can offer no reply.
15 Lord, I wait(AA) for you;
you will answer,(AB) Lord my God.
16 For I said, “Do not let them gloat(AC)
or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”(AD)
17 For I am about to fall,(AE)
and my pain(AF) is ever with me.
18 I confess my iniquity;(AG)
I am troubled by my sin.
19 Many have become my enemies(AH) without cause[b];
those who hate me(AI) without reason(AJ) are numerous.
20 Those who repay my good with evil(AK)
lodge accusations(AL) against me,
though I seek only to do what is good.

38 O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
4 For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5 My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
6 I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
7 For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8 I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
9 Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
10 My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12 They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
13 But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14 Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15 For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
16 For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
17 For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
19 But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
21 Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
