¹⁰ Then she fell prostrate, with her face to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your sight, that you should take notice of me, when I am a foreigner?”^(A)

²³ When Abigail saw David, she hurried and dismounted from the donkey and fell before David on her face, bowing to the ground.^(A)

¹⁰ love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor.

¹⁶ He prostrated himself at Jesus’s^[a] feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan.^{(A) 17} Then Jesus asked, “Were not ten made clean? So where are the other nine? ¹⁸ Did none of them return to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

⁴³ And why has this happened to me, that the mother of my Lord comes to me?^(A)

²⁸ For all my father’s house were doomed to death before my lord the king, but you set your servant among those who eat at your table. What further right have I, then, to appeal to the king?”^(A)

⁸ He did obeisance and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon a dead dog such as I?”^(A)

¹³ Then she said, “May I continue to find favor in your sight, my lord, for you have comforted me and spoken kindly to your servant, even though I am not one of your servants.”

⁶ And Jesus went with them, but when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to say to him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; ⁷ therefore I did not presume to come to you. But only speak the word, and let my servant be healed.
