Naomi Returns with Ruth

⁶ Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the Lord had ^(A)visited^[a] His people by ^(B)giving them bread.

⁴ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain ^(A)bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather ^[a]a certain quota every day, that I may ^(B)test them, whether they will ^(C)walk in My law or not. ⁵ And it shall be on the sixth day that they shall prepare what they bring in, and ^(D)it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”

⁶ Then Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, ^(E)“At evening you shall know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt.

³¹ So the people ^(A)believed; and when they heard that the Lord had ^(B)visited the children of Israel and that He ^(C)had looked on their affliction, then ^(D)they bowed their heads and worshiped.

¹⁶ Go and ^(A)gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, ^(B)“I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt;

^44 (A)and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and ^(B)they will not leave in you one stone upon another, ^(C)because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
