Ruth's Loyalty to Naomi

⁶ Then she arose with her daughters-in-law to return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the fields of Moab that ^(A)the Lord had visited his people and ^(B)given them food.

⁴ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain ^(A)bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day, that I may ^(B)test them, whether they will walk in my law or not. ⁵ On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, ^(C)it will be twice as much as they gather daily.” ⁶ So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel, ^(D)“At evening ^(E)you shall know that it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt,

³¹ And the people ^(A)believed; and when they heard that the Lord had ^(B)visited the people of Israel and that he had ^(C)seen their affliction, ^(D)they bowed their heads and worshiped.

¹⁶ Go and ^(A)gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, ^(B)“I have observed you and what has been done to you in Egypt,

^44 (A)and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And ^(B)they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know ^(C)the time of your ^(D)visitation.”
