¹⁷ Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. ^(A)May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.”

¹⁷ And Eli said, “What was it that he told you? Do not hide it from me. ^(A)May God do so to you and more also if you hide anything from me of all that he told you.”

³¹ and he said, ^(A)“May God do so to me and more also, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat remains on his shoulders today.”

²³ Then King Solomon swore by the Lord, saying, ^(A)“God do so to me and more also if this word does not cost Adonijah his life!
