Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus

²⁴ Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him ^(A)deny himself and ^(B)take up his cross and follow me.

^37 (A)Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

³⁹ But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

²³ Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ^(A)ten men ^(B)from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for ^(C)we have heard that God is with you.’”

The Restoration of Jacob

14 ^(A)For the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and ^(B)will set them in their own land, and ^(C)sojourners will join them and will attach themselves to the house of Jacob.
