⁶ But it is not as though ^(A)the word of God has failed. ^(B)For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel;

³⁶ Or was it from you that the word of God first went out? Or has it come to you only?

¹⁷ For we are not like the many, ^[a](A)peddling the word of God, but ^(B)as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ ^(C)in the sight of God.

² but we have renounced the ^(A)things hidden because of shame, not walking in trickery nor ^(B)distorting the word of God, but by the open proclamation of the truth ^(C)commending ourselves to every person’s conscience in the sight of God.

¹⁷ And take ^(A)the helmet of salvation and the ^(B)sword of the Spirit, which is ^(C)the word of God.

¹⁴ and that most of the brothers and sisters, ^[a]trusting in the Lord because of my ^[b](A)imprisonment, have ^(B)far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.

^25 (A)I ^[a]was made a minister of this church according to the ^(B)commission from God granted to me for your benefit, so that I might ^[b]fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,

¹³ For this reason we also constantly ^(A)thank God that when you received the ^(B)word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it ^(C)not as the word of mere men, but as what it really is, the word of God, ^(D)which also is at work in you who believe.

⁵ for it is sanctified by means of ^(A)the word of God and prayer.
