²² What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering ^(A)the vessels of wrath ^(B)prepared for destruction,

²³ and that He might make known ^(A)the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had ^(B)prepared beforehand for glory,

²¹ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were ^(A)faithful over a few things, ^(B)I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into ^(C)the joy of your lord.’

³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, ^(A)inherit the kingdom ^(B)prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

⁸ Finally, there is laid up for me ^(A)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous ^(B)Judge, will give to me ^(C)on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

⁴⁶ And ^(A)these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

⁷ and to give you who are troubled ^(A)rest with us when ^(B)the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. ^9 (C)These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and ^(D)from the glory of His power, ¹⁰ when He comes, in that Day, ^(E)to be ^(F)glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who ^[a]believe, because our testimony among you was believed.
