35 Who will separate us from (A)the love of [a]Christ? Will (B)affliction, or turmoil, or (C)persecution, or (D)famine, or (E)nakedness, or (F)peril, or sword? 36 Just as it is written,

(G)For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were counted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly (H)conquer through (I)Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither (J)death, nor life, nor (K)angels, nor rulers, nor (L)things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from (M)the love of God, which is (N)in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  1. Romans 8:35 Two early mss God

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written,

“For thy sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
