The Spirit of God Dwells in You
8 Therefore there is now no (A)condemnation for those who are (B)in (C)Christ Jesus. 2 For (D)the law of the Spirit of life [a]in (E)Christ Jesus (F)has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For (G)what the Law could not do, [b](H)weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in (I)the likeness of [c]sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the (J)righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who (K)do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on (L)the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, (M)the things of the Spirit. 6 (N)For the mind set on the flesh is (O)death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is at (P)enmity toward God, for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are (Q)in the flesh are not able to please God.
9 However, you are not (R)in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God (S)dwells in you. But (T)if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 (U)But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is [d]alive because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who (V)raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, (W)He who raised (X)Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [e]through His Spirit who dwells in you.
12 So then, brothers, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— 13 for (Y)if you are living according to the flesh, you [f]must die, but if by the Spirit you are (Z)putting to death the (AA)practices of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are (AB)being led by the Spirit of God, these are (AC)sons of God. 15 For you (AD)have not received a spirit of slavery [g]leading to fear again, but you (AE)have received the Spirit of adoption as sons by whom we cry out, “(AF)Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself (AG)testifies with our spirit that we are (AH)children of God, 17 and if children, also (AI)heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, (AJ)if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
Present Suffering and Future Glory
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (AK)are not worthy to be compared with the (AL)glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the (AM)anxious longing of the creation eagerly waits for (AN)the revealing of the (AO)sons of God. 20 For the creation (AP)was subjected to (AQ)futility, not willingly, but (AR)because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 [h]that (AS)the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation (AT)groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 (AU)And not only this, but also we ourselves, having (AV)the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves (AW)groan within ourselves, (AX)eagerly waiting for our adoption as sons, (AY)the redemption of our body. 24 For (AZ)in hope we were saved, but (BA)hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes for what he already sees? 25 But (BB)if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we eagerly wait for it.
26 And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness, for (BC)we do not know how to pray as we should, but (BD)the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and (BE)He who searches the hearts knows what (BF)the mind of the Spirit is, because He (BG)intercedes for the [i]saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that for those who love God [j](BH)all things work together for good, for those who are (BI)called according to His purpose. 29 Because those whom He (BJ)foreknew, He also (BK)predestined to become (BL)conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the (BM)firstborn among many brothers; 30 and those whom He (BN)predestined, He also (BO)called; and those whom He called, He also (BP)justified; and those whom He justified, He also (BQ)glorified.
God Is for Us
31 (BR)What then shall we say to these things? (BS)If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who indeed (BT)did not spare His own Son, but (BU)delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring a charge against (BV)God’s elect? (BW)God is the one who justifies; 34 who is the one who (BX)condemns? Christ Jesus is He who (BY)died, yes, rather who was [k](BZ)raised, who is (CA)at the right hand of God, who also (CB)intercedes for us. 35 Who will separate us from (CC)the love of [l]Christ? Will (CD)affliction, or turmoil, or (CE)persecution, or (CF)famine, or (CG)nakedness, or (CH)peril, or sword? 36 Just as it is written,
“(CI)For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were counted as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly (CJ)conquer through (CK)Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither (CL)death, nor life, nor (CM)angels, nor rulers, nor (CN)things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from (CO)the love of God, which is (CP)in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Free from Indwelling Sin
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, (A)who[a] do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For (B)the law of (C)the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from (D)the law of sin and death. 3 For (E)what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, (F)God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who (G)do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For (H)those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, (I)the things of the Spirit. 6 For (J)to be [b]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because (K)the [c]carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, (L)nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of (M)Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, (N)He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [d]through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Sonship Through the Spirit
12 (O)Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For (P)if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you (Q)put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For (R)as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For (S)you did not receive the spirit of bondage again (T)to fear, but you received the (U)Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, (V)“Abba,[e] Father.” 16 (W)The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then (X)heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, (Y)if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
From Suffering to Glory
18 For I consider that (Z)the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For (AA)the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For (AB)the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of [f]corruption into the glorious (AC)liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation (AD)groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have (AE)the firstfruits of the Spirit, (AF)even we ourselves groan (AG)within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the (AH)redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but (AI)hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For (AJ)we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but (AK)the Spirit Himself makes intercession [g]for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now (AL)He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints (AM)according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those (AN)who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom (AO)He foreknew, (AP)He also predestined (AQ)to be conformed to the image of His Son, (AR)that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also (AS)called; whom He called, these He also (AT)justified; and whom He justified, these He also (AU)glorified.
God’s Everlasting Love
31 What then shall we say to these things? (AV)If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 (AW)He who did not spare His own Son, but (AX)delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? (AY)It is God who justifies. 34 (AZ)Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, (BA)who is even at the right hand of God, (BB)who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
(BC)“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 (BD)Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor (BE)principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Wycliffe Bible
8 Therefore now nothing of condemnation is to them that be in Christ Jesus, which wander not after the flesh.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath delivered me from the law of sin, and of death [hath delivered me from the law of sin, and death].
3 For that that was impossible to the law, in what thing it was frail by flesh, God sent his Son into the likeness of flesh of sin [in that thing it was sick, or frail, by flesh, God sending his Son into the likeness of flesh of sin], and of sin condemned sin in flesh;
4 that the justifying of the law were fulfilled in us, that go not after the flesh [that not after the flesh we wander], but after the Spirit.
5 For they that be after the flesh, understand those things [savour those things] that be of the flesh; but they that be after the Spirit, feel those things that be of the Spirit.
6 For the prudence of flesh is death; but the prudence of Spirit is life and peace.
7 For the wisdom of the flesh is enemy to God; for it is not subject to the law of God, for neither it may [soothly neither it may be subject to the law].
8 And they that be in flesh, be not able to please to God. [For they that be in flesh, may not please to God.]
9 But ye be not in flesh, but in Spirit; if nevertheless the Spirit of God dwelleth in you [dwell in you]. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, this is not his.
10 For if Christ is in you, the body is dead for sin [the body is dead from sin], but the Spirit liveth for justifying.
11 And if the Spirit of him that raised Jesus Christ from death dwelleth in you, he that raised Jesus Christ from death, shall quicken also your deadly bodies, for the Spirit of him that dwelleth in you.[a]
12 Therefore, brethren, we be debtors, not to the flesh, that we live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye by the Spirit [shall] slay the deeds of the flesh, ye shall live.
14 For whoever be led by the Spirit of God, these be the sons of God.
15 For ye have not taken again the spirit of servage in dread, but ye have taken the Spirit of adoption of sons, in which we cry, Abba, Father.
16 And that Spirit yieldeth witnessing to our spirit, that we be the sons of God;
17 if sons, and heirs, heirs forsooth of God, and heirs together with Christ [forsooth if sons, and heirs, soothly heirs of God, truly even-heirs of Christ]; if nevertheless we suffer together, that also we be glorified together.
18 And I deem, that the passions of this time be not worthy to the glory to coming [be not even worthy to the glory to come], that shall be showed in us.
19 For the abiding of creature abideth the showing of the sons of God.
20 But the creature is subject to vanity, not willing(ly), but for him that made it subject in hope; [Soothly the creature is subject to vanity, not willing, but for him that subjected it in hope;]
21 for that creature [for and that creature] shall be delivered from servage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God.
22 And we know, that each creature sorroweth, and travaileth with pain till yet.
23 And not only it, but also we us selves [but and we ourselves], that have the first fruits of the Spirit, and we us selves sorrow within us [and we ourselves sorrow within us] for the adoption of God's sons, abiding the again-buying of our body.
24 But by hope we be made safe. For hope that is seen, is not hope; for who hopeth that thing, that he seeth? [Soothly by hope we be made safe. Forsooth the hope that is seen, is not hope; for why what hopeth a man that thing, that he seeth?]
25 And if we hope that thing that we see not, we abide by patience.
26 And also the Spirit helpeth our infirmity; for what we shall pray, as it behooveth, we know not, but that Spirit asketh for us with sorrowings, that may not be told out [but that Spirit asketh for us with sorrowings, that be not able to be told out].
27 For he that seeketh the hearts, knoweth what the Spirit desireth, for by God [for after God, that is, at God's will,] he asketh for holy men.
28 And we know, that to men that love God, all things work together into good, to them that after purpose be called saints.
29 For those that he knew before [For why and whom he knew before], he before-ordained by grace to be made like to the image of his Son, that he be the first begotten among many brethren.
30 And those that he before-ordained to bless, them he called; and whom he called, them he justified; and whom he justified, them he glorified. [Soothly whom he before-ordained to bless, and them he called; and whom he called, and them he justified; soothly whom he justified, and them he glorified.]
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who is against us?
32 Which also spared not his own Son, but betook him for us all, how also gave he not to us all things with him?
33 Who shall accuse against the chosen men of God? It is God that justifieth,
34 who is it that condemneth? It is Jesus Christ that was dead, yea, the which rose again, the which is on the right half of God, and the which prayeth for us [the which and rose again, the which is on the right half of God, the which prayeth for us].
35 Who then shall separate us [Who therefore shall part us] from the charity of Christ? tribulation, or anguish, or hunger, or nakedness, or persecution, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For we be slain all day for thee; we be guessed as sheep of slaughter [we be guessed as sheep to slaughter].
37 But in all these things we overcome, for him that loved us.
38 But I am certain [Soothly I am certain], that neither death, neither life, neither angels, neither principats, neither virtues, neither present things, neither things to coming [neither things to come],
39 neither strength, neither height, neither deepness, neither any other creature may separate us [shall be able to part us] from the charity of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
