25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.(A)
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit(B) himself intercedes for us(C) through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts(D) knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes(E) for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. 27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of [a]God’s people in accordance with God’s will.(A)
