²³ but I see another law at work in me, waging war^(A) against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin^(B) at work within me. ²⁴ What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?^(C)

³ I came to you^(A) in weakness^(B) with great fear and trembling.^{(C) 4} My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words,^(D) but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,^(E)

⁴ For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness,^(A) yet he lives by God’s power.^(B) Likewise, we are weak^(C) in him, yet by God’s power we will live with him^(D) in our dealing with you.

¹⁶ Therefore confess your sins^(A) to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.^(B) The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.^(C)
