Romans 6
Living Bible
6 Well then, shall we keep on sinning so that God can keep on showing us more and more kindness and forgiveness?
2-3 Of course not! Should we keep on sinning when we don’t have to? For sin’s power over us was broken when we became Christians and were baptized to become a part of Jesus Christ; through his death the power of your sinful nature was shattered. 4 Your old sin-loving nature was buried with him by baptism when he died; and when God the Father, with glorious power, brought him back to life again, you were given his wonderful new life to enjoy.
5 For you have become a part of him, and so you died with him, so to speak, when he died;[a] and now you share his new life and shall rise as he did. 6 Your old evil desires were nailed to the cross with him; that part of you that loves to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that your sin-loving body is no longer under sin’s control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin; 7 for when you are deadened to sin you are freed from all its allure and its power over you. 8 And since your old sin-loving nature “died” with Christ, we know that you will share his new life. 9 Christ rose from the dead and will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10 He died once for all to end sin’s power, but now he lives forever in unbroken fellowship with God. 11 So look upon your old sin nature as dead and unresponsive to sin, and instead be alive to God, alert to him, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Do not let sin control your puny body any longer; do not give in to its sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your bodies become tools of wickedness, to be used for sinning; but give yourselves completely to God—every part of you—for you are back from death and you want to be tools in the hands of God, to be used for his good purposes. 14 Sin need never again be your master,[b] for now you are no longer tied to the law where sin enslaves you, but you are free under God’s favor and mercy.
15 Does this mean that now we can go ahead and sin and not worry about it? (For our salvation does not depend on keeping the law but on receiving God’s grace!) Of course not!
16 Don’t you realize that you can choose your own master? You can choose sin (with death) or else obedience (with acquittal). The one to whom you offer yourself—he will take you and be your master, and you will be his slave. 17 Thank God that though you once chose to be slaves of sin, now you have obeyed with all your heart the teaching to which God has committed you. 18 And now you are free from your old master, sin; and you have become slaves to your new master, righteousness.
19 I speak this way, using the illustration of slaves and masters, because it is easy to understand: just as you used to be slaves to all kinds of sin, so now you must let yourselves be slaves to all that is right and holy.
20 In those days when you were slaves of sin you didn’t bother much with goodness. 21 And what was the result? Evidently not good, since you are ashamed now even to think about those things you used to do, for all of them end in eternal doom. 22 But now you are free from the power of sin and are slaves of God, and his benefits to you include holiness and everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Masiix Lammidnimadiisu Ma Raaci Karto Dembiga
6 Haddaba maxaynu nidhaahnaa? Miyaynu ku sii soconnaa dembiga inay nimcadu badato? 2 Yaanay noqon! Innagoo dembiga kala dhimannay, sidee baynu mar dambe ugu dhex noolaannaa? 3 Mise ma waydaan ogayn in kulli inteenna lagu baabtiisay Ciise Masiix dhexdiisa, lagu dhex baabtiisay dhimashadiisa? 4 Haddaba waxaynu isaga kula aasannay baabtiiska dhimashada dhexdeeda, in, sidii Masiixa kuwii dhintay loogaga sara kiciyey ammaanta Aabbaha, aan innaguna sidaas oo kale cusaybka nolosha ku dhex soconno. 5 Haddaynu isaga kula midownay dhimasho tiisa u eg, de sidaas oo kalena sarakicid tiisa u eg waynu kula midoobi doonnaa. 6 Waynu og nahay in dabiicaddeennii hore iskutallaabta lagula qodbay isaga, in jidhka dembigu baabba'o, si aynaan mar dambe addoommo ugu ahaan dembiga. 7 Waayo, kii dhintay dembi wuu ka xoroobay oo xaq baa laga dhigay. 8 Laakiinse haddaynu Masiixa la dhimannay, waxaynu rumaysan nahay inaynu haddana isaga la noolaan doonno. 9 Waynu og nahay in Masiixa oo kuwii dhintay ka sara kacay uusan mar dambe dhimanayn; dhimashadu mar dambe u talin mayso. 10 Waayo, dhimashaduu dhintay mar keliya ayuu xagga dembiga ka dhintay, laakiin noloshuu ku nool yahay, Ilaah buu u nool yahay. 11 Sidaas oo kalena idinku isku tiriya inaad dembiga u tihiin kuwo dhintay, oo aad Ilaah u tihiin kuwo nool xagga Ciise Masiix.
12 Sidaas daraaddeed dembigu yuusan jidhkiinna dhimanaya u talin inaad damacyadiisa xunxun addeecdaan. 13 Xubnihiinnana dembiga ha u siinina sida qalabka xaqdarrada, laakiin Ilaah isa siiya sida idinkoo ah kuwo ka soo noolaaday kuwii dhintay, xubnihiinnana Ilaah u siiya sida qalabka xaqnimada. 14 Waayo, dembigu idiinma talin doono, maxaa yeelay, sharciga kuma hoos jirtaan, laakiinse waxaad ku hoos jirtaan nimcada.
Masaalka Ku Saabsan Addoonnimada
15 Waa sidee haddaba? Sharciga kuma hoos jirno, oo waxaynu ku hoos jirnaa nimcada, sidaas daraaddeed miyaan dembaabnaa? Yaanay noqon! 16 Ma waydaan ogayn inaad addoommo u tihiin kii aad isu siisaan sida addoommo addeeca, oo aad addoommadiisa tihiin kii aad addeecdaan, ama ha noqoto dembiga idiin kaxeeya xagga dhimashada ama addeecidda idiin kaxaysa xagga xaqnimada? 17 Laakiinse mahad Ilaah baa leh, waayo, waxaad ahaan jirteen addoommadii dembiga, haatanse qalbigiinaad ka addeecdeen caynaddii waxbariddii laydin siiyey; 18 oo idinkoo dembiga laydinka xoreeyey, xaqnimada ayaad addoommo u noqoteen. 19 Sida dadkaan u hadlayaa jidhkiinna itaaldarradiisa aawadeed. Waayo, sidii aad xubnihiinna uga dhigi jirteen addoommadii wasakhnimada iyo dembiga inaad dembi fashaan, sidaas oo kalena haatan xubnihiinna ka dhiga addoommadii xaqnimada quduusnaanta aawadeed. 20 Waayo, markaad addoommadii dembiga ahaan jirteen, xagga xaqnimada waxaad ahaydeen xor. 21 Haddaba wakhtigaas maxaad midho ku haysateen waxyaalaha aad haatan ka xishoonaysaan? Waayo, waxyaalahaas ugu dambaystoodu waa dhimashada. 22 Laakiin haatan idinkoo dembi laydinka xoreeyey oo aad addoommadii Ilaah noqoteen, waxaad midho ku haysataan quduusnaanta, oo ugu dambaysteeduna waa nolosha weligeed ah. 23 Waayo, mushahaarada dembigu waa dhimashada, laakiinse hadiyadda Ilaah waa nolosha weligeed ah ee laga helo Rabbigeenna Ciise Masiix.
Romans 6
New International Version
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
6 What shall we say, then?(A) Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?(B) 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin;(C) how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized(D) into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death(E) in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead(F) through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.(G)
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.(H) 6 For we know that our old self(I) was crucified with him(J) so that the body ruled by sin(K) might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin(L)— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.(M)
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.(N) 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead,(O) he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.(P) 10 The death he died, he died to sin(Q) once for all;(R) but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin(S) but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign(T) in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness,(U) but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.(V) 14 For sin shall no longer be your master,(W) because you are not under the law,(X) but under grace.(Y)
Slaves to Righteousness
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace?(Z) By no means! 16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey(AA)—whether you are slaves to sin,(AB) which leads to death,(AC) or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God(AD) that, though you used to be slaves to sin,(AE) you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching(AF) that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin(AG) and have become slaves to righteousness.(AH)
19 I am using an example from everyday life(AI) because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness(AJ) leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin,(AK) you were free from the control of righteousness.(AL) 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!(AM) 22 But now that you have been set free from sin(AN) and have become slaves of God,(AO) the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.(AP) 23 For the wages of sin is death,(AQ) but the gift of God is eternal life(AR) in[b] Christ Jesus our Lord.
