⁸ Now ^(A)if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. ⁹ We know that ^(B)Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; ^(C)death no longer has dominion over him. ¹⁰ For the death he died he died to sin, ^(D)once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.

¹⁴ Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise ^(A)partook of the same things, that ^(B)through death he might ^(C)destroy ^(D)the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and deliver all those who ^(E)through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.
