²² But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.

²² But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

⁹ For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.

¹¹ May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ^[a]—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.
