15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man,(A) how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ,(B) overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death(C) reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life(D) through the one man, Jesus Christ!

18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people,(E) so also one righteous act resulted in justification(F) and life(G) for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man(H) the many were made sinners,(I) so also through the obedience(J) of the one man the many will be made righteous.

15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if by the one man’s trespass the many died, how much more have the grace of God and the gift overflowed to the many by the grace of the one man,(A) Jesus Christ. 16 And the gift is not like the one man’s sin, because from one sin came the judgment,(B) resulting in condemnation, but from many trespasses came the gift, resulting in justification.[a] 17 Since by the one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive the overflow of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life(C) through the one man, Jesus Christ.

18 So then, as through one trespass there is condemnation for everyone, so also through one righteous act there is life-giving justification[b](D) for everyone. 19 For just as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners,(E) so also through the one man’s obedience(F) the many will be made righteous.
