⁸ but ^(A)God shows his love for us in that ^(B)while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Since, therefore, ^(C)we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from ^(D)the wrath of God.

¹⁸ Therefore, as one trespass^[a] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness^[b] leads to justification and life for ^(A)all men. ¹⁹ For as by the one man's ^(B)disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's ^(C)obedience the many will be made righteous. ²⁰ Now ^(D)the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, ^(E)grace abounded all the more, ²¹ so that, ^(F)as sin reigned in death, ^(G)grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
