Faith Triumphs

5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith,^(A) we have peace^[a] with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.^{(B) 2} We have also obtained access through him^(C) by faith^[b] into this grace in which we stand,^(D) and we boast^[c] in the hope of the glory of God.

⁴⁵ Then he opened their minds^(A) to understand^(B) the Scriptures. ⁴⁶ He also said to them, “This is what is written:^[a] The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead the third day,^{(C) 47} and repentance for^[b] forgiveness of sins^(D) will be proclaimed in his name to all the nations,^(E) beginning at Jerusalem.^(F)

¹⁹ Therefore repent^(A) and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out,^(B)

³⁰ “Therefore, having overlooked^(A) the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent,

⁹ The Lord does not delay his promise,^(A) as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any^(B) to perish^(C) but all to come to repentance.^(D)

Acknowledging Christ

³² “Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge me before others, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.^(A)

⁹ If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”^(A) and believe in your heart^(B) that God raised him from the dead,^(C) you will be saved.

¹⁵ Whoever confesses^(A) that Jesus is the Son of God—God remains in him and he in God.
