Romans 4:19-25

19 Without being weakened in faith, he didn’t consider his own body, already having been worn out, (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 Yet, looking to the promise of God, he didn’t waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was also able to perform. 22 Therefore it also was “credited to him for righteousness.”

19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was already[a] as good as dead (for he was about a hundred years old), and the barrenness of Sarah’s womb.(A) 20 No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 21 being fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.(B) 22 Therefore “it was reckoned to him as righteousness.” 23 Now the words, “it was reckoned to him,” were written not for his sake alone(C) 24 but for ours also. It will be reckoned to us who believe[b] in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,(D) 25 who was handed over for our trespasses and was raised for our justification.(E)
