^11 (A)He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was ^(B)to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well,

^12 (A)having been buried with him in baptism, in which ^(B)you were also raised with him through faith in ^(C)the powerful working of God, ^(D)who raised him from the dead.

²⁷ And he took a cup, and when he ^(A)had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, ²⁸ for ^(B)this is my ^(C)blood of the^[a] covenant, which is poured out for ^(D)many ^(E)for the forgiveness of sins.
