So what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision? Considerable in every way. First, they were entrusted(A) with the very words of God.(B) What then? If some were unfaithful,(C) will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Absolutely not!(D) Let God be true, even though everyone is a liar,(E) as it is written:

That you may be justified in your words
and triumph when you judge.[a](F)

Jews Still Have an Advantage

Therefore, what is the advantage of the Jew, or what is the use of circumcision? Much in every way. For first, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God. But let God be true but every human being a liar, just as it is written,

“In order that you may be justified in your words,
