³ Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?

³² Though they know ^(A)God's righteous decree that those who practice such things ^(B)deserve to die, they not only do them but ^(C)give approval to those who practice them.

God's Righteous Judgment

2 Therefore you have ^(D)no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For ^(E)in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.

³ While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then ^(A)sudden destruction will come upon them ^(B)as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

¹⁴ But he said to him, ^(A)“Man, ^(B)who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?”

³³ You serpents, ^(A)you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to ^(B)hell?

⁵⁸ And a little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”

^53 (A)Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me ^(B)more than twelve ^(C)legions of angels?

¹⁹ And he said, ^(A)“O man greatly loved, ^(B)fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.” And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

¹⁸ He despised the oath in breaking the covenant, and behold, he gave his hand and did all these things; he shall not escape.
