Personal Greetings
16 I would like you to welcome our sister Phoebe. She is a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. 2 I ask you to receive her as one who belongs to the Lord. Receive her in the way God’s people should. Give her any help she may need from you. She has been a great help to many people, including me.
3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila. They work together with me in serving Christ Jesus. 4 They have put their lives in danger for me. I am thankful for them. So are all the Gentile churches.
5 Greet also the church that meets in the house of Priscilla and Aquila.
Greet my dear friend Epenetus. He was the first person in Asia Minor to become a believer in Christ.
6 Greet Mary. She worked very hard for you.
7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews. They have been in prison with me. They are leaders among the apostles. They became believers in Christ before I did.
8 Greet Ampliatus, my dear friend in the Lord.
9 Greet Urbanus. He works together with me in serving Christ. And greet my dear friend Stachys.
10 Greet Apelles. He remained faithful to Christ even when he was tested.
Greet those who live in the house of Aristobulus.
11 Greet Herodion, my fellow Jew.
Greet the believers who live in the house of Narcissus.
12 Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa. Those women work hard for the Lord.
Greet my dear friend Persis. She is another woman who has worked very hard for the Lord.
13 Greet Rufus. He is a chosen believer in the Lord. And greet his mother. She has been like a mother to me too.
14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon and Hermes. Greet Patrobas, Hermas and the other brothers and sisters with them.
15 Greet Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister. Greet Olympas and all of the Lord’s people who are with them.
16 Greet one another with a holy kiss.
All the churches of Christ send their greetings.
17 I am warning you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who try to keep you from staying together. They want to trip you up. They teach you things opposite to what you have learned. Stay away from them. 18 People like that are not serving Christ our Lord. They are serving only themselves. With smooth talk and with words they don’t mean they fool people who don’t know any better. 19 Everyone has heard that you obey God. So you have filled me with joy. I want you to be wise about what is good. And I want you to have nothing to do with what is evil.
20 The God who gives peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
21 Timothy works together with me. He sends his greetings to you. So do Lucius, Jason and Sosipater, my fellow Jews.
22 I, Tertius, wrote down this letter. I greet you as a believer in the Lord.
23-24 Gaius sends you his greetings. He has welcomed me and the whole church here into his house.
Erastus is the director of public works here in the city. He sends you his greetings. Our brother Quartus also greets you.
25 May God receive glory. He is able to strengthen your faith. He does this in keeping with the good news and the message I preach. It is the message about Jesus Christ. This message is in keeping with the mystery hidden for a very long time. 26 The mystery has now been made known through the writings of the prophets. The eternal God commanded that it be made known. God wanted all the Gentiles to obey him by trusting in him. 27 May the only wise God receive glory forever through Jesus Christ. Amen.

16 Os recomiendo a nuestra hermana Febe, que está al servicio de la iglesia de Cencreas. 2 Acogedla en el nombre del Señor, como debe hacerse entre creyentes, y atendedla en todo cuanto necesite de vosotros, pues también ella se ha desvelado por ayudar a muchos, entre ellos, a mí mismo.
3 Saludos para Prisca y Áquila que han colaborado conmigo en Cristo Jesús 4 y se jugaron la vida por salvar la mía. Y no sólo yo tengo que agradecérselo, sino todas las iglesias de origen pagano. 5 Saludos igualmente para la iglesia que se reúne en su casa. Saludos para mi querido amigo Epéneto, el primer cristiano de la provincia de Asia.
6 Saludad a María que tanto se ha fatigado por vosotros. 7 Saludad a Andrónico y a Junias, paisanos míos y compañeros de prisión; su labor apostólica es bien conocida, e incluso creyeron en Cristo antes que yo. 8 Saludad a Ampliato, mi querido amigo en el Señor; 9 a Urbano, que ha sido nuestro colaborador en Cristo; a mi buen amigo Estaquis. 10 Saludad a Apeles que ha dado sobradas pruebas de fidelidad a Cristo, y también a los de la casa de Aristóbulo.
11 Saludos para mi paisano Herodión y para los creyentes de la casa de Narciso; 12 saludos para Trifena y Trifosa que trabajan con afán por el Señor; saludos para Pérsida, la hermana tan querida que tanto se ha fatigado por servir al Señor.
13 Saludad a Rufo, que es un creyente distinguido, y a su madre, que es como si fuera mía. 14 Saludad a Asíncrito, a Flegón, a Hermes, a Patrobas, a Hermas y a los hermanos que están con ellos. 15 Saludad a Filólogo y a Julia, a Nereo y a su hermana, a Olimpo y a los creyentes que están con ellos. 16 Saludaos, en fin, unos a otros con un beso fraterno*. Os saludan, por su parte, todas las iglesias de Cristo.
17 Os ruego, hermanos, que tengáis cuidado con los que suscitan divisiones y ponen en peligro la enseñanza que habéis recibido; alejaos de ellos. 18 Es gente que no está al servicio de Cristo nuestro Señor, sino de sus propios apetitos, y con sus halagos y lisonjas embaucan a los incautos. 19 Vuestra respuesta a la fe ha llegado a conocimiento de todos y eso me alegra; quiero, sin embargo, que seáis sagaces para hacer el bien y limpios frente al mal. 20 El Dios de la paz pondrá muy pronto a Satanás bajo vuestros pies. Que la gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo os acompañe.
21 Os saludan Timoteo, mi colaborador, y también Lucio, Jasón y Sosípatro, que son paisanos míos. 22 Os saludo yo, Tercio, que he sido el amanuense de esta carta como servicio al Señor. 23 Saludos de Gayo, en cuya casa me alojo y donde se reúne toda esta iglesia. 25 Al que tiene poder para consolidaros en la fe de acuerdo con el mensaje evangélico que anuncio y la proclamación que hago de Jesucristo, a quien ha revelado su plan secreto mantenido durante siglos oculto, 26 y lo ha manifestado ahora por medio de las Escrituras proféticas, según la disposición del Dios eterno, de modo que al conocerlo todas las naciones respondan a la fe, 27 a ese Dios, el único sabio, sea la gloria por siempre a través de Jesucristo. 16 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:
2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.
3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:
4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
6 Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.
7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
8 Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.
9 Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.
10 Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' household.

19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
21 Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.
22 I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.

27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
