7 Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. 8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of the truth of God in order that he might confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, 9 and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written,
“Therefore I will confess[a] you among the Gentiles,
and sing praises to your name”;
10 and again he says,
“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people”;
11 and again,
“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles,
and let all the peoples praise him”;
12 and again Isaiah says,
“The root of Jesse shall come,
the one who rises to rule the Gentiles;
in him the Gentiles shall hope.”
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Paul’s Reason for Writing So Boldly
14 I myself feel confident about you, my brothers and sisters,[b] that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another. 15 Nevertheless on some points I have written to you rather boldly by way of reminder, because of the grace given me by God 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

8 (A)Infatti io dico che Cristo è diventato servitore dei circoncisi a dimostrazione della veracità di Dio per confermare le promesse fatte ai padri; 9 mentre gli stranieri onorano Dio per la sua misericordia, come sta scritto:
«Per questo ti celebrerò tra le nazioni e canterò le lodi al tuo nome»[b].

11 E altrove: «Nazioni, lodate tutte il Signore; tutti i popoli lo celebrino»[d].
12 Di nuovo Isaia dice: «Spunterà la radice di Isai, colui che sorgerà a governare le nazioni; in lui spereranno le nazioni»[e].
13 Or il Dio della speranza vi riempia di ogni gioia e di ogni pace nella fede, affinché abbondiate nella speranza, per la potenza dello Spirito Santo.

Die Gläubigen sollen Gott loben wegen seiner Barmherzigkeit
8 Ich sage aber, dass Jesus Christus ein Diener der Beschneidung[a] geworden ist um der Wahrhaftigkeit Gottes willen, um die Verheißungen an die Väter zu bestätigen,
9 dass aber die Heiden Gott loben sollen um der Barmherzigkeit willen, wie geschrieben steht: »Darum will ich dich preisen unter den Heiden und deinem Namen lobsingen!«[b]
10 Und wiederum heißt es: »Freut euch, ihr Heiden, mit seinem Volk!«[c]
11 Und wiederum: »Lobt den Herrn, alle Heiden, und preist ihn, alle Völker!«[d]
12 Und wiederum spricht Jesaja: »Es wird kommen die Wurzel Isais und der, welcher aufsteht, um über die Heiden zu herrschen; auf ihn werden die Heiden hoffen«.[e]
13 Der Gott der Hoffnung aber erfülle euch mit aller Freude und mit Frieden im Glauben, dass ihr überströmt in der Hoffnung durch die Kraft des Heiligen Geistes!

14 Ich selbst habe aber, meine Brüder, die feste Überzeugung von euch, dass auch ihr selbst voll Gütigkeit[f] seid, erfüllt mit aller Erkenntnis und fähig, einander zu ermahnen.
15 Das machte mir aber zum Teil umso mehr Mut, euch zu schreiben, Brüder, um euch wieder zu erinnern, aufgrund der Gnade, die mir von Gott gegeben ist,
16 dass ich ein Diener Jesu Christi für die Heiden sein soll, der priesterlich dient am Evangelium Gottes, damit das Opfer der Heiden wohlannehmbar werde, geheiligt durch den Heiligen Geist.

7 Ahogyan Krisztus elfogadott titeket, ti is úgy fogadjátok el egymást! Ez dicsőséget hoz Istennek. 8 Mert határozottan állítom, hogy Krisztus azért lett Izráel népének szolgája, hogy ezzel megmutassa nekik: Isten hűségesen megtartja az ősapáinknak tett ígéreteit. 9 Krisztus azonban nemcsak ezért jött, hanem azért is, hogy az Izráelen kívüli nemzetek is dicsőítsék Istent az irántuk való irgalmasságáért, ahogyan ez meg van írva az Írásokban:
„Dicsérlek téged, Örökkévaló, a többi népek között,
és nevednek zengek éneket.”[a]
10 Majd ismét ezt mondja:
„Örüljetek, ti többi nemzetek is,
Isten saját népével együtt!”[b]
11 És megint:
„Dicsőítsék az Örökkévalót,
a többi népek is mindnyájan,
dicsérjék őt az összes nemzetek!”[c]
12 És ismét, amint Ézsaiás próféta mondja:

13 Isten, aki a reménység forrása, csordultig töltsön be titeket örömmel és békességgel — a benne való hitetek által — s így a Szent Szellem erejében a reménységetek is túláradóan bőséges legyen!
Pál munkája az Izráelen kívüli nemzetek között
14 Testvéreim, meg vagyok győződve róla, hogy telve vagytok jóindulattal, és megvan bennetek minden szükséges ismeret, olyannyira, hogy még egymást is képesek vagytok tanácsolni és helyreigazítani. 15 Ebben a levelemben mégis őszintén írtam nektek néhány dologról, hogy emlékeztesselek benneteket, hiszen Isten maga adott nekem kegyelmet, 16 hogy Krisztus Jézust szolgáljam az Izráelen kívüli népek között.

Jésus-Christ est venu pour les Juifs et pour les non-Juifs
7 Accueillez-vous donc les uns les autres, tout comme Christ vous a accueillis, pour la gloire de Dieu. 8 Voici, en effet, ce que j’affirme : c’est, d’abord, que Christ est venu se mettre au service des Juifs pour montrer que Dieu est véridique en accomplissant les promesses faites à leurs ancêtres ; 9 c’est, ensuite, qu’il est venu pour que les non-Juifs, de leur côté, louent Dieu à cause de sa compassion, comme le dit l’Ecriture :
Aussi je publie tes louanges parmi les peuples,
je te célèbre par mes chants[a] .
10 Et ailleurs :
Peuples, réjouissez-vous avec son peuple[b] .
11 Ou encore :
Louez le Seigneur, vous, gens de toutes les nations,
que tous les peuples disent ses louanges[c] !
12 Esaïe dit de son côté :
Un rejeton naîtra d’Isaï,
on le verra se lever pour gouverner tous les peuples,
les peuples étrangers mettront en lui leur espérance[d] .
13 Que le Dieu de l’espérance, vous comble de toute joie et de sa paix par votre confiance en lui. Ainsi votre cœur débordera d’espérance par la puissance du Saint-Esprit.

14 Frères et sœurs, j’ai personnellement la conviction que vous êtes pleins de bonté, remplis de toute la connaissance, et tout à fait capables, par conséquent, de vous conseiller les uns les autres. 15 Cependant, je vous ai écrit avec une certaine audace sur quelques points ; car je désirais raviver vos souvenirs, à cause de la grâce que Dieu m’a accordée. 16 En effet, il a fait de moi le serviteur de Jésus-Christ pour les non-Juifs. J’accomplis ainsi la tâche d’un prêtre[e] en annonçant l’Evangile de Dieu aux non-Juifs pour que ceux-ci deviennent une offrande agréable à Dieu[f], consacrée par l’Esprit Saint.
