Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Therefore, [a](A)accept one another, just as Christ also accepted [b]us, for the glory of God. For I say that Christ has become a servant to (B)the circumcision in behalf of the truth of God, to confirm (C)the promises given to the fathers, and for (D)the Gentiles to (E)glorify God for His mercy; as it is written:

(F)Therefore I will [c]give praise to You among the Gentiles,
And I will sing praises to Your name.”

10 Again he says,

(G)Rejoice, you Gentiles, with His people.”

11 And again,

(H)Praise the Lord all you Gentiles,
And let all the peoples praise Him.”

12 Again Isaiah says,

And He who arises to rule over the Gentiles,
(K)In Him will the Gentiles hope.”

Christ the Hope of Jews and Gentiles

For I tell you that Christ (A)became a servant to the circumcised to show God's truthfulness, in order (B)to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, and in order (C)that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written,

(D)“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles,
    and sing to your name.”

10 And again it is said,

(E)“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.”

11 And again,

(F)“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles,
and let all the peoples extol him.”

12 And again Isaiah says,

(G)(H)“The root of Jesse will come,
    even he who arises to rule the Gentiles;
(I)in him will the Gentiles hope.”
