Romans 14:5-9
World English Bible
5 One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks. He who doesn’t eat, to the Lord he doesn’t eat, and gives God thanks. 7 For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

5 One person judges one day to be more important than another day.(A) Someone else judges every day to be the same. Let each one be fully convinced in his own mind.(B) 6 Whoever observes the day, observes it for the honor of the Lord.[a] Whoever eats, eats for the Lord, since he gives thanks to God;(C) and whoever does not eat, it is for the Lord that he does not eat it, and he gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for himself, and no one dies for himself.(D) 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.(E) 9 Christ died and returned to life(F) for this: that he might be Lord over both the dead and the living.(G)
