Romans 13:3-5

3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you (A)will receive his approval, 4 for (B)he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, (C)an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also (D)for the sake of conscience.

12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 (A)each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed (B)by fire, and (C)the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, (D)he will receive a reward.
